Huachipato
Club Deportivo Huachipato is a Chilean football club based in Talcahuano that is a current member of the Chilean Primera División. The club was founded 7 June 1947 and plays its home games at the Estadio CAP, which has a capacity of 10,500 people (all-seated). History In 1947, CD Huachipato was officially notarized, and the first official recorded game was played. The original fans were the local company employees of the steel industry in Huachipato. It took a few years for the club to achieve its first successes, obtaining regional championships in 1956 and 1964. In its early seasons, "the Steelers" (''Acereros''), as they are known, were quite satisfactory in the second division. The 1965 debut was against ''Municipal de Santiago'' with a 3–0 victory. 2022 Chilean Primera División
The 2022 Chilean Primera División, known as Campeonato PlanVital 2022 for sponsorship purposes, is the 92nd season of the Chilean Primera División, Chile's top-flight football league. The season began on 4 February 2022 and is scheduled to end on 6 November 2022. Colo-Colo clinched their thirty-third league title with two matches to go, after winning 2–0 against Coquimbo Unido on 23 October 2022. Universidad Católica were the defending champions. Teams 16 teams take part in the league in this season, down by one from the previous season: the top 14 teams from the 2021 tournament, plus the 2021 Primera B champions Coquimbo Unido and the winners of the promotion/relegation play-off Huachipato. 2014 Copa Sudamericana
The 2014 Copa Sudamericana (officially the 2014 Copa Total Sudamericana for sponsorship reasons) was the 13th edition of the Copa Sudamericana, South America's secondary international club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. Lanús were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Cerro Porteño in the round of 16. In the finals, Argentine team River Plate defeated Colombian team Atlético Nacional 3–1 on aggregate to win their first title, and earned the right to play in the 2015 Recopa Sudamericana and the 2015 Suruga Bank Championship. Rodrigo Millar
Rodrigo Javier Millar Carvajal (born 3 November 1981) is a Chilean footballer who last played as a midfielder for Primera B de Chile club Coquimbo Unido. He played for Chile in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He also holds Mexican citizenship. Club career Huachipato Millar started his career at Huachipato in 1999. Mario Alfredo Salas Saieg (, born 11 October 1967) is a former Chilean football midfielder and current manager. He earned five caps for the Chile national team, scoring no goals between 1993 and 1997. Salas made his debut in 1993 in a friendly match against Spain in Alicante. He started his managerial career at Barnechea in 2009. In 2011, he won the Tercera División de Chile title and the promotion to Primera B. In 2012, he was appointed as head coach of the Chile U20 national team after the resignation of Fernando Carvallo. Mario Antonio Salgado Jiménez (born 3 June 1981) is a Chilean retired footballer. Salgado formerly played at Huachipato in Chile and then moved to Italy with Brescia Calcio and remained during several years at other clubs of Europe. In February 2011, the striker returned to his country for play in Colo-Colo. Club career Brescia Calcio Salgado joined Brescia Calcio from Huachipato in July 2001. Estadio Huachipato-CAP Acero (''Compañía de Acero del Pacífico''), is a football stadium in Talcahuano, Chile. It is the home field of the Huachipato football team. Héctor Raúl Mancilla Garcés (12 November 1980) is a Chilean former footballer who played as a striker. A true striker, Mancilla is not "the fastest or most skillful striker but his true threat is his ability to finish the play in short spaces.". He also holds Mexican citizenship. Gonzalo Alejandro Jara Reyes (; born 29 August 1985) is a Chilean professional footballer who currently plays for Chilean Primera División club Coquimbo Unido.
