Howard Lynch
Howard W. "Bull" Lynch (March 2, 1902 – December 10, 1989) was an American football coach. Lynch was born in Hamilton, Texas, but soon moved to Amarillo, Texas, Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School and went on to Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and the University of Kentucky, where he earned a master's degree in 1933. His first head coaching job was at a high school in Franklin, Kentucky, where his teams were 24–12–1. In 1937, Lynch succeeded Blair Cherry as Amarillo head football coach. Cherry went on to become offensive coordinator at the University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas, and left an Amarillo Sandies football program he had turned into a dynasty by winning three consecutive 4A state championships (1934–1936). Hamilton, Texas
Hamilton is a city in and the county seat of Hamilton County, Texas, United States, located in the state's central region. Its population was 3,095 at the 2010 census. Geography Hamilton is located in central Hamilton County at (31.703274, –98.120359). U.S. Route 281 passes through the center of the city, leading north to Hico and south to Evant. Texas State Highway 36 (Main Street) crosses US 281 in the center of town and leads southeast to Gatesville and northwest to Comanche. Waco High School
Waco High School is a public high school located in the city of Waco, Texas and classified as a 6A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Waco Independent School District located in central McLennan County. In 2015, the school was rated “Improvement Required” by the Texas Education Agency. History The first home of Waco High School, or Central High as it was then called, was on the lot at Fourth and Webster streets in the early 1880s. There were two buildings, and one had formerly been the Episcopal church with the bell still in the tower. This was the only public school building west of the Brazos. In 1886-1887, these were replaced by a brick building, and in 1911, at Thanksgiving time, the new building on Columbus Avenue was ready for occupancy.
