Hot Auctions
''Hot Property'' is an Australian real estate Channel Seven show that has aired since 1999. The program is hosted by actor Michael Caton. The half-hour show looks at problems Australians face when wanting to buy, build, renovate or rent homes. After a year off in 2006, the show returned in July 2007 on Sunday nights at 7pm. The premiere episode rated 1.3 million viewers and ranked 21 for the week. The show returned for a new season in 2008. In 2010, the program moved to the Nine Network, Caton is returning as host and it is expected to be aired on 28 July 2010. ''Hot Property'' returned to air in 2012 on Thursday 17 May at 8pm. Hot Auctions Between 2000 and 2003, the program changed its name to ''Hot Auctions'', and focused more on the auction process rather than renovations. Each episode would traditionally contain up to three different auctions. Michael Caton
Michael Caton (born 21 July 1943) is an Australian television, film and stage actor, comedian and television host, best known for playing Uncle Harry in the Australian television series ''The Sullivans'', Darryl Kerrigan in 1997's low-budget hit film '' The Castle'', and Ted Taylor in the television series ''Packed to the Rafters''. He is married to Helen Esakoff. Caton has been inducted into the Australian Film Walk of Fame in honour of his work in Australia's cinema and television industries. His son Septimus narrates ''My Kitchen Rules'' and ''Robot Wars''. Media career Television In 1976 Caton starred as Uncle Harry Sullivan in the long running Channel 9 war family drama ''The Sullivans''. ''Hot Property'' is a Channel 5 show in the UK originally broadcast from 1997 to 1998 and hosted by Sandy Mitchell. It was revived from 5 November 2001 to 11 July 2003 in two formats, originally hosted by Tris Payne in 2001 but then replaced by Alice Beer from 2002, when the series was changed into a game show. An Australian version of the show began on 1 January 1999, hosted by Michael Caton. A 14th season was broadcast on Nine Network in 2013. ''Home and Away'' (often abbreviated as ''H&A'') is an Australian television soap opera. It was created by Alan Bateman and commenced broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. Bateman came up with the concept of the show during a trip to Kangaroo Point, New South Wales, where he noticed locals were complaining about the construction of a foster home and against the idea of foster children from the city living in the area.
