Hope High School (Rhode Island)
Hope High School is a public high school in the East Side of Providence, Rhode Island, U.S. operated by Providence Public School District. It was founded in 1898. Its current building was completed in June 1936. St Charles Vocational Program it’s Former Program for Special Education. Community system In 2003, Hope High School was partitioned into three semi-independent " communities": Hope High School Arts Community, Hope High School Technology Community, and Hope Leadership Community—each with its own principal. Since June 2009, the Leadership Community no longer exists and as of June 2012, the Arts and Technology communities were merged into one school. The triune system was developed in an attempt to remedy a history of exceptionally low test scores (2008 SAT combined score was 1047, over 900 points lower than Moses Brown School, a private school 2 blocks away) at Hope High School. Providence, RI
Providence is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Rhode Island. Moses Brown School
Moses Brown School is an independent Quaker school located in Providence, Rhode Island, offering pre-kindergarten through secondary school classes. It was founded in 1784 by Moses Brown, a Quaker abolitionist, and is one of the oldest preparatory schools in the country. The school motto is ''Verum Honorem'', "For The Honor of Truth," and the school song is "In the Shadow of the Elms," a reference to the large grove of elm trees that still surrounds the school. Francesco "Frank" Caprio (born November 24, 1936) is an American jurist and politician who served as the chief municipal judge in Providence, Rhode Island, and chairman of the Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education. Ben Powers
Alton Adelbert Powers (July 5, 1950 – April 6, 2015), known professionally as Ben Powers, was an American actor. Powers was best known for his role as Keith Albert Anderson, the husband of Thelma Evans, during the sixth and final season of the CBS sitcom ''Good Times''. Powers was also a cast member on the NBC television comedy series ''Laugh-In'' (1977–78). Powers died on April 6, 2015, at age 64 due to liver cancer. Edward Peter Beard (January 20, 1940 – January 11, 2021) was an American businessman and politician from Rhode Island. He served in the Rhode Island House of Representatives and was a member of the United States House of Representatives. Deon Terry Anderson (born January 27, 1983) is a former American football fullback in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins.
