The Hong Kong Ladies Open is a golf tournament on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour hosted in Hong Kong since 2015. It is played at the Old Course in Fanling in Hong Kong Golf Club. In 2017, EFG became the tournament's first title sponsor. The prize money of the tournament is US$150,000 and players would be offered Rolex Ranking points. Ladies Asian Golf Tour
The Ladies Asian Golf Tour is a women's professional golf tour that was established as the Ladies Asia Golf Circuit in 1983 and known as the Kosaido Ladies Asia Golf Circuit 1987–2004 for sponsorship reasons. The tour was sanctioned by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation since its inception as an official Asian ladies' tour. By 2005 there were five established women's professional tours in the world, of which two were in Asia, namely the LPGA of Japan Tour and the LPGA of Korea Tour. Japan and South Korea are two of the top three powers in women's professional golf, alongside the United States. The Ladies Asian Golf Tour is effectively a tour for the rest of Asia. The Hong Kong Golf Club is a private golf club. It is home to the Hong Kong Open, a tournament co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours. Founded in 1889 as the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club, the Club originally played in Happy Valley, a location shared with many other activities. Supamas Sangchan ( th, สุภมาส แสงจันทร์; born 2 April 1996) is a Thai professional golfer playing on the China LPGA Tour. As an amateur, she won a gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games in the women's team event with Budsabakorn Sukapan and Benyapa Niphatsophon and another bronze medal in the women's individual event.
