Hong Kong Centre For Christian Apologetics
Hong Kong Centre for Christian Apologetics (commonly referred to as HKCCA) is a Christian educational institution founded in 2017 by a group of professors, lecturers and businessmen in Hong Kong. The centre offers certificate courses on Christian Apologetics and also promotes apologetic events hosting prominent apologists. The committee includes professors such as Chan Man Ho of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Chan Kai Yan of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Andrew Loke and Kai-man Kwan of Hong Kong Baptist University, and ministers and businessmen such as Jonathan Johnson and KY Wong. Christian apologetics ( grc, ἀπολογία, "verbal defense, speech in defense") is a branch of Christian theology that defends Christianity. Stephen Lam Sui-lung (Cantonese pronunciation: ; born 24 November 1955) was the Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong and Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs. Lam was born in Hong Kong attended Wah Yan College. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1978 and then began his public service career. During his early years in the civil service he attended the University of London Law School, from which he graduated in 1983. Career Lam joined the Hong Kong government administrative service in October 1978. He held senior positions as Administrative Assistant to the Chief Secretary from 1989 to 1991. Kai-man Kwan
Kai-man Kwan (also spelt Kai Man Kwan; ) is a Chinese Christian philosopher at Hong Kong Baptist University. He is the current Director of the Centre for Sino-Christian Studies. Education and Career After graduating as an electrical engineer from the University of Hong Kong in 1983, Kai-man worked as a Science and Maths teacher first at Matteo Ricci College, and then at Carmel Alison Lam Foundation Secondary School. He completed his M.Phil. in 1991 and Ph.D. in 1993 from Oxford University under the supervision of Richard Swinburne. The next year he joined Hong Kong Baptist University as a part-time Lecturer. He served as the Head of the Department of Religion and Philosophy from 2013 to 2018. Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is a publicly funded tertiary liberal arts education, liberal arts institution with a Christian ethics, Christian education heritage.
