Honduras
Honduras, officially the Republic of Honduras, is a country in Central America. The republic of Honduras is bordered to the west by Guatemala, to the southwest by El Salvador, to the southeast by Nicaragua, to the south by the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Fonseca, and to the north by the Gulf of Honduras, a large inlet of the Caribbean Sea. The National Party of Honduras (PNH; es, Partido Nacional de Honduras) is a conservative political party in Honduras founded on 27 February 1902, by Manuel Bonilla Chirinos. Historically it has been one of the two most influential parties in the country. The party's platform is based on Christian humanist doctrine, and its five main principles are common wealth, dignity of the human person, equality, solidarity and subsidiarity. Liberal Party Of Honduras
The Liberal Party of Honduras (Spanish: ''Partido Liberal de Honduras)'' is a centrist liberal political party in Honduras that was founded in 1891. It is the oldest extant political party in the country, and one of the two main parties that have until recently dominated Honduran politics. The party is a member of the Liberal International. The PLH is identified with the colours red and white, as the flag Francisco Morazán used in most of his military campaigns during time of the Central American Federal Republic. Tiburcio Carías Andino (5 March 1876 – 23 December 1969) was a Honduran politician and military officer with the rank of Major General. Thirty-eighth president of the Republic of Honduras, constitutional period from 1924 and thereafter in the form of a dictatorial regime for 1933 until 1949. He was elected president of Honduras in the midst of a deep world depression. Abraham Williams Calderón
Abraham Williams Calderón (born 1894, died in 1986) was Honduran politician. He was known as Vice President of Honduras during the administration of Tiburcio Carías Andino and president of the National Congress of Honduras, and presidential candidate of the Revolutionary Nationalist Movement in the 1954 elections. Williams Calderón was born on 16 March 1894, in Choluteca. He studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1919, and Union College in Schenectady, New York in 1921, from which he obtained his engineering degree. After returning to Honduras, he joined National Party of Honduras, and was later appointed as governor of Choluteca Department between 1924 during the administration of Miguel Paz Barahona.
