The Honda CBR250F is a CBR series ' four-cylinder sport bike made by Honda. The CBR250F was first sold in Japan in 1986. The CBR250RR MC22 was discontinued in 1996 in Japan, but sales continued in Australia until 2000 __TOC__ Overview The CBR250F aka CBR250 Four was made in 1986. Motorcycle racing was popular at the time, with the Japanese Grand Prix and Suzuka 8 Hours drawing large crowds. Licensing restrictions in Japan also caused small displacement motorcycles to have a bulk of the motorcycle sales. Thus, the CBR250F sport bike was born. Honda CBR250R (2011)
The Honda CBR250R, CBR300R and CB300F are lightweight displacement single-cylinder motorcycles made by Honda since 2011. CBR250R The CBR250R was made from 2011 to 2013 for all Honda markets except Japan and Malaysia, where production continued after 2013. Originally intended primarily for the Thai and Indian markets, the 250R was sold worldwide, including in developed countries in Europe, North America and elsewhere. Honda CB250F
The Honda CB250F also known as the Honda Hornet 250 is a standard motorcycle which was launched by Honda in 1996. It was initially only available in Japan, as a domestic model but was made available to the rest of the world as a grey import. Powered by a de-tuned version of the inline-four engine from the CBR250, it produces around 40 PS at 14,000 rpm to its redline of 16,000 rpm. This tuning allows the engine to provide more useful low-end power. The bike features a 6-speed transmission and a 16-litre fuel tank and in later models, a dual-tone coloured exterior. This bike is said to emit a peculiar high-pitched whine due to the gear driven camshafts used inside the engine. Inline-four Engine
A straight-four engine (also called an inline-four) is a four-cylinder piston engine where cylinders are arranged in a line along a common crankshaft. The vast majority of automotive four-cylinder engines use a straight-four layout (with the exceptions of the flat-four engines produced by Subaru and Porsche) and the layout is also very common in motorcycles and other machinery. Therefore the term "four-cylinder engine" is usually synonymous with straight-four engines. The Japanese Grand Prix ( ja, 日本グランプリ, Nihon-guranpuri) is a motor racing event in the calendar of the Formula One, Formula One World Championship. Suzuka 8 Hours
The is a motorcycle endurance race held at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan each year. The race runs for eight hours consecutively and entrants are composed of two or more riders who alternate during pitstops. History The race began in 1978 as a race for prototype Tourist Trophy Formula One (TT-F1) motorcycles which meant the big four Japanese companies (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha), who had unlimited engineering resources, could use them on the track. Throughout the years, the race had gone through several rule changes in accordance to the FIM, including the restriction to 750cc for F1 bikes. One major change for the race came in 1993.
