Holy (Bottom)
"Holy" is the fifth episode of the second series of British television sitcom ''Bottom''. It was first broadcast on 29 October 1992. Synopsis It is Christmas time in Hammersmith once again, and Richie and Eddie experience a Christmas miracle. Plot One early Christmas morning, Richie enters Eddie's room disguised as Santa Claus and presents "gifts" for himself and Eddie. He accidentally sets off Eddie's homemade security system, which results in Richie being hanged. After being freed by Eddie, Richie returns as himself and proceeds to list off the gifts that "Santa" has left them, which consist of the ingredients for Christmas dinner, while Eddie himself receives no stocking stuffers. Eddie presents his gifts for Richie: a small empty bottle of Malibu rum, and a used toilet roll made into a "play telescope" featuring an image of Sue Carpenter. Bottom (TV Series)
''Bottom'' is a British sitcom created by Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson that ran for three series on BBC2 from 1991 to 1995. It focuses on Richard "Richie" Richard (Mayall) and Edward Elizabeth "Eddie" Hitler (Edmondson), two unemployed, crude, and perverted flatmates living in Hammersmith, London, who aspire to better themselves. ''Bottom'' became known for its chaotic, nihilistic humour and violent slapstick comedy. In 2004, ''Bottom'' was ranked 45th in a BBC poll for ''Britain's Best Sitcom''. Mayall and Edmondson had worked together since the mid-1970s, and developed ''Bottom'' as an extension of their own relationship and their on-screen characters in '' The Young Ones'' and ''Filthy Rich & Catflap'', their earlier BBC sitcom. Sherry
Sherry ( es, jerez ) is a fortified wine made from white grapes that are grown near the city of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, Spain. Sherry is produced in a variety of styles made primarily from the Palomino grape, ranging from light versions similar to white table wines, such as Manzanilla and fino, to darker and heavier versions that have been allowed to oxidise as they age in barrel, such as Amontillado and oloroso. Charlie Biddle (actor)
Charles Reed Biddle, (July 28, 1926 – February 4, 2003) was an American-Canadian jazz bassist. He lived most of his life in Montreal, organizing and performing in jazz music events. Early life and education Biddle was born and grew up in West Philadelphia. He joined the United States Army on January 26, 1945, and served in China, India and Burma during World War II. After the war, he studied music at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he started playing bass. Career In 1948, Biddle arrived in Montreal while touring with Vernon Isaac's Three Jacks and a Jill. Biddle was impressed by the fact that in Canada, particularly Quebec, black jazz musicians often played alongside white jazz musicians as friends and bandmates. Continuity is particularly a concern in the production of film and television due to the difficulty of rectifying an error in continuity after shooting has wrapped. It also applies to other art forms, including novels, comics, and video games, though usually on a smaller scale.
