Holmavatnet (Vinje)
Holmavatnet is a lake the Setesdalsheiene mountains of Southern Norway. It is located on the border of the municipalities of Suldal (in Rogaland county), Vinje (in Vestfold og Telemark county), and a small part in Bykle (in Agder county). The southeastern corner of the lake is in Bykle, and it is the northernmost part of all of Aust-Agder county. The lake Skyvatn is located about to the south of the lake. The lake lies in a very isolated area with road access only from the village of Nesflaten in Suldal, about to the southwest. The other villages that are located near the lake are Hovden in Bykle, about to the southeast, Håra in Odda, Hordaland, about to the northwest, and Edland in Vinje, about to the northeast. Bykle
Bykle is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Setesdal. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Bykle. Other villages in Bykle municipality include Berdalen, Bjåen, Breive, Hoslemo, Hovden, and Nordbygdi. Bykle was established as a municipality on 1 January 1902 when it was separated from the municipality of Valle. The municipality is the 60th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Skyvatn is a lake in the northern part of the municipality of Bykle in Agder county, Norway. The lake is located south of the lake Holmavatnet and northwest of the lake Hartevatnet. The village of Hovden in Bykle is the nearest village, located about southeast of the lake. The lake has an area of and is located in the Setesdalsheiene mountains at an elevation of above sea level. Odda () is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1913 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was merged into Ullensvang Municipality in Vestland county.
