Alanson Holly (July 21, 1810September 15, 1882) was an American newspaper editor and Republican politician. He served one term in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing western Columbia County. Biography Born in Granville, New York, Holly taught school and was in the mercantile and newspaper business in Wyoming County, New York. In 1855, Holly settled in Kilbourn City, Wisconsin, Holly started the newspaper the ''Wisconsin Mirror'' in 1856. In 1860, Holly shut down the newspaper and moved to Lockport, New York. Nora Kristina Benshoof (''née'' Greenwald; born on September 7, 1977) is an American semi-retired professional wrestler signed to WWE as a producer, she is best known for her appearances with the said company from 2000 to 2005 under the ring name Molly Holly. She is also known for her appearances with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as Miss Madness and Mona in 1999 to 2000. Holly began her professional wrestling career in WCW, where she also worked as a trainer. In 2000, Greenwald debuted in the then-WWF as part of The Holly Cousins stable, an alliance of storyline cousins. She was later aligned with The Hurricane. Michael John Lockwood (August 25, 1971 – November 6, 2003) was an American professional wrestler. He was best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation / World Wrestling Entertainment from 1999 to 2003 under the ring names Crash Holly or simply Crash. Lockwood debuted in 1989 and spent a decade wrestling on the independent circuit before signing with the World Wrestling Federation in 1998, debuting the following year as Crash Holly. Robert William Howard (born January 29, 1963) is an American professional wrestler, actor, and former auto racer and wrestling trainer/host, better known by the ring name Hardcore Holly or Bob Holly. He is best known for his 16-year career with the World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment (WWF/E) where he also worked under the ring names Thurman "Sparky" Plugg, Bob "Spark Plug" Holly, Bombastic Bob, and "the Big Shot". In professional wrestling, kayfabe, as a noun, is the portrayal of staged events within the industry as "real" or "true", specifically the portrayal of competition, rivalries, and relationships between participants as being genuine and not staged. The Holly Cousins, also known as the Hollys, were a professional wrestling tag team and, later, stable in the World Wrestling Federation between 1999 and 2001. Edward William Holly (1879–1973), born Edward William Ruthlavy, was a Major League Baseball shortstop. He played all or part of four seasons in the majors. He is also a member of the International League Hall of Fame. Holly's professional career began in with the Western League's Milwaukee Brewers. In , he played for the St. Paul Saints. After eight years in the minor leagues, Holly was acquired from the Johnstown Johnnies, where he had batted .298 in by the St. Louis Cardinals. He played college football at Cincinnati and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Holly also played for the Chicago Bears and the Cleveland Browns. From August 12, 2020 to August 31, 2021, he was the head coach of Racing Louisville in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Charles Frederick Holly (September 4, 1819 – September 7, 1901) was an associate justice of the Colorado Territorial Supreme Court from June 10, 1865, to July 19, 1866. He and William H. Gale were jointly appointed by President Andrew Johnson. Early life A native of Connecticut, Holly graduated from Kenyon College in Ohio. After graduation, he studied law privately with Henry Stanbery and Thomas Ewing, Sr. in Ohio. In 1842, he moved to Missouri, practiced law there and served as a probate court judge, and then moved to the Territory of Nebraska in the 1850s and practiced law from 1857 to 1860.
