Holešovice
Holešovice () is a district in the north of Prague situated on a meander of the River Vltava, which makes up the main part of the district Prague 7 (an insignificant part belongs to Prague 1). In the past it was a heavily industrial suburb; today it is home to the main site of the Prague's National Gallery in Veletržní palác, and National Technical Museum. On the Strossmayer Square lies neo-Gothic Church of St. Anthony of Padua. Holešovice were named as one of the 10 Europe coolest neighborhoods by The Guardian in 2020. Line C (Prague Metro)
Line C () is a line on the Prague Metro. It crosses the right-bank half of the city center in the north-south directions and turns to the east at both ends of the line. It is the system's oldest and most used line, being opened in 1974 and transporting roughly 26,900 persons per hour in the peak. The line is long and includes 20 stations, journey from one end to the other taking approx. 35 min. History Segment I.C Construction was started in 1966 on an underground rapid tram line. Nádraží Holešovice (Prague Metro)
Nádraží Holešovice () is a Prague Metro station on Line C, serving the Holešovice mainline railway station. The station was formerly known as ''Fučíkova'', after journalist Julius Fučík. The station was opened on 3 November 1984 as the northern terminus of the extension from Sokolovská (later renamed Florenc), a status it retained until 26 June 2004 when the line was extended to Ládví station. The station is below ground level, and contains two tracks on opposite sides of the station platform. The station has two exits - the southern exit on Plynární street leads to tram stops and a local bus station, and the northern exit on Vrbenského street leads to the mainline and suburban railway station and a long-distance bus station. Prague 7 is a municipal district (''městská část'') in Prague, Czech Republic. The administrative district (''správní obvod'') of the same name consists of the quarters Letná, Holešovice, Bubny, Bubeneč, Troja as well as a small part of Libeň. Prague 1, formally the Prague 1 Municipal District (), is a second-tier municipality in Prague. It is co-extensive with the national administrative district (''správní obvod'') of the same name. Prague 1 includes most of the medieval heart of the city. Cycling In Prague
Cycling in Prague is a popular leisure activity and a not so common mode of transport within the capital city of the Czech Republic. However, levels of utility cyclists have been rising recently. In 2018, 2% of people commuted by bike in Prague (4% in summer, less than 2% in winter). As of 2017, there were 178 km (111 mi) of protected cycle paths and routes in the city.
