Holding Absence
Holding Absence are a Welsh rock band from Cardiff, Wales, formed in 2015. The group consists of lead vocalist Lucas Woodland, guitarist Scott Carey, bassist Benjamin Elliot and drummer Ashley Green. The band released an initial collection of singles in 2017, as well as a split EP with Loathe in 2018, before finally releasing their debut record, ''Holding Absence'', in 2019. They are signed with SharpTone Records. History 2015–2018: Formation, singles and the ''This Is as One'' EP The band initially formed in 2015, fronted by vocalist Zac Vernon who appears on their first recorded and released tracks, including "Immerse" and "Luna". However, he soon parted ways with the band and formed Parting Gift leaving the door open to Lucas Woodland of defunct outfit, Falling With Style. Upon Lucas joining the band in 2016, Holding Absence released "Permanent", their debut single under this iteration. Cardiff (; cy, Caerdydd ) is the capital and largest city of Wales. Alpha Wolf is an Australian metalcore band originally from Burnie, Tasmania and currently located in Melbourne, Victoria. Bassist/founding vocalist John Arnold stated that "the name Alpha Wolf came from the movie '' The Grey''". Their debut album ''Mono'' was released in July 2017 and peaked at number 29 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming. The OCC produces its charts by gathering and combining sales data from retailers through market researchers Kantar, and claims to cover 99% of the singles market and 95% of the album market, and aims to collect data from any retailer who sells more than 100 chart items per week. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. Casey (band)
Casey are a Welsh rock band formed in South Wales, United Kingdom in 2014. The band formed shortly after vocalist Tom Weaver and guitarist Liam Torrance left previous projects, Continents and ''Hot Damn'' respectively. Originally formed as a studio band under the name Well Wisher, Weaver and Torrance later recruited Toby Evans, Max Nicolai, and Scott Edwards, and began producing material with the intention of performing live. After a brief hiatus while Weaver auditioned to join the band Northlane, the name Well Wisher was dropped, and the band relaunched under the name Casey. The name is derived from both Weaver's love of the album ''Casey'' by The Rise of Science, and also Torrance's tribute to the late Hawthorne Heights guitarist, Casey Calvert. Electric Callboy (formerly known as Eskimo Callboy) is a German electronicore band formed in Castrop-Rauxel in 2010.
