Hockey Nunavut
Hockey Nunavut is the governing body for ice hockey in Nunavut, Canada. It operates under Hockey North, a branch of Hockey Canada. Arctic Winter Games Nunavut participates in both the male and female hockey categories in the Arctic Winter Games. Typically, Hockey Nunavut send two male teams (bantam and midget) and one female team (junior). For the 2016 Arctic Winter Games in Nuuk, Greenland, only bantam male hockey and junior female hockey will take place. Due to a lack of facilities in Nuuk, these events will be hosted by the city of Iqaluit, Nunavut in March 2016. Nunavut ( , ; iu, ᓄᓇᕗᑦ , ; ) is the largest and northernmost Provinces and territories of Canada#Territories, territory of Canada. South Side Lynx
The South Side Lynx (officially the South Side MacDonald's Excavation/EF MacPhee Lynx) are a Canadian Junior C ice hockey team based in Crapaud, Prince Edward Island. They are members of the Prince Edward Island Junior C Hockey League. They are coached by Paul Dawson and play out of the South Shore Actiplex. Jordin John Kudluk Tootoo (; born February 2, 1983) is a Canadian former professional hockey player, who played for the Nashville Predators, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils and Chicago Blackhawks. Of Inuit, Ukrainian and English descent, he is the first Inuk player to play in the NHL. Chester Clippers (ice Hockey)
The South Shore Schooners are a Junior C ice hockey team based in Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada. This franchise was established in 2019 returning the city to the Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League. The previous franchise began in 2008 as the Chester Clippers before relocating to Sydney, where they played as the Northside Vics. The Vics only lasted one season before folding, however they did not participate in the 2013-14 season. The team played in the Nova Scotia Junior C Hockey League. The Tignish Aces (officially the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces) are a Canadian Junior C ice hockey team based in Tignish, Prince Edward Island. They play in the Prince Edward Island Junior C Hockey League. They play at the Credit Union Arena and are coached by Dwayne Handrahan. History The Aces were founded in 1997 as a member of the Prince Edward Island Minor Junior Hockey League. They won the league championship in their first season and again in 2003 and 2005. Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championship
The Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championship are the Junior "C" ice hockey championships for the Maritime Junior "C" leagues and Hockey North's Team Nunavut of the Canadian Territory of Nunavut. History The championship was officially adopted by Hockey Canada during a summer meeting in 2002. The first ever Maritime-North Championship was won by the Chebucto Canadians of Nova Scotia in the Spring of 2003. Chebucto defeated the Dieppe/Memramcook Voyageurs of the New Brunswick Junior C Hockey League 4–3 in triple overtime to win the title.
