''Wedding in Transit'' (german: Hochzeit auf Reisen) is a 1953 West German comedy film directed by Paul Verhoeven (Germany), Paul Verhoeven and starring Gardy Granass, Karlheinz Böhm and Gert Fröbe.Nelmes & Selbo It was made at the Wandsbek Studios in Hamburg. Location shooting took place in a variety of places including Munich, Lausanne in Switzerland and Elche, Granada and Madrid in Spain. The film's sets were designed by the art director Mathias Matthies. Paul Verhoeven (; born 18 July 1938) is a Dutch filmmaker. His blending of graphic violence and sexual content with social satire is a trademark of both his drama and science fiction films. After receiving attention for the TV series '' Floris'' in his native Netherlands, Verhoeven got his film breakthrough with romantic drama ''Turkish Delight'' (1973), starring frequent collaborator Rutger Hauer. The film was nominated for Academy Award for Best Foreign Film and later received the award for Best Dutch Film of the Century at the Netherlands Film Festival. Paul Karl Heinrich Klinksik (14 June 1907, Essen – 14 November 1971, Munich) was a German stage and film actor who also worked in radio drama and soundtrack dubbing. Family life His father, a civil engineer, was Karl Heinrich Klinksik; his mother was Gertrud Emma Mathilde (née) Uhlendahl. He was first married from 1936 to 1945 to the actress Hildegard Wolf with whom he had one child. There were two more children from his second marriage in 1950 to Karin Anderson, another actress. Susi Nicoletti
Susi Nicoletti (3 September 1918 – 5 June 2005) was a Bavarian-born actress best remembered today for over 100 supporting roles mostly in comedy films. She was born as Susanne Emilie Luise Adele Habersack in Munich, but spent most of her childhood with her parents in Amsterdam. Back in Munich, she made her stage debut at age 13. Two years later she became a ballerina. In the early 1930s she turned to cabaret. In 1939, she was offered her first film role. In 1940 she moved to Vienna, where she became a member of the Burgtheater. After her retirement in 1992 she continued her stage career at the Theater in der Josefstadt. For decades, Nicoletti taught acting and dance at the prestigious Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. Her husband, Ernst Haeussermann, was a theatre director.
