Swedish ( ) is a North Germanic language spoken predominantly in Sweden and in parts of Finland. It has at least 10 million native speakers, the fourth most spoken Germanic language and the first among any other of its type in the Nordic countries overall. Carl Bergsten
Carl Gustaf Bergsten (10 May 1879 in Norrköping - 22 April 1935 in Stockholm) was a Swedish architect. He graduated in 1901 from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology and three years later from the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. A scholarship took him to Germany and to Vienna. He apprenticed with architects Isak Gustaf Clason and Erik Lallerstedt. Bergsten ran his own architectural firm from 1904-35. He was influenced by the National Romantic style and Functionalism. He designed a number of exhibition spaces including Liljevalchs konsthall. For the Norrköping Exhibition of Art and Industry in 1906, Bergsten designed the exhibition's two main buildings the Industrial Hall (''Industrihallen'') and the Art Exhibition Hall (''Konsthallen'') as well as the Hunting Pavilion (''Jaktpaviljongen''). Engelbrekt Parish ( sv, Engelbrekts församling) is a parish in Östermalm's church district (''kontrakt'') in the Diocese of Stockholm, Sweden. The Diocese of Stockholm ( sv, Stockholms stift) is a division of the Church of Sweden. Its cathedral is Storkyrkan in Stockholm's Old Town. The diocese covers most of metropolitan Stockholm and was formed in 1942 from parts of the medieval dioceses of Strängnäs and Uppsala, both pre-dating the foundation of Stockholm. Johan August Ekman
Johan August Ekman (26 November 1845, Hjälstad - 1913) was Archbishop of Uppsala, Sweden, 1900–1913. Biography Johan Ekman was the son of Olof Ekman and Maria, born Johansdotter. He was a student of theology at the University of Uppsala receiving his Licentiate of Theology in 1870 and was ordained into the priesthood in 1873. He was earned his Bachelor of Theology (''teol. kand.'') in 1876. He became a professor of theology at Uppsala University in 1887 and received his Doctor of Theology (''dr. theol.'') in 1893. Thereafter he worked as a vicar and held other church offices. He was elected Bishop of the Diocese of Västerås in 1898; and appointed Archbishop of Uppsala in 1900.
