Hiyy Halaaku
''Hiyy Halaaku'' (''English translation'': Heartbreak) is a 2000 Maldivian romantic drama film directed by Hussain Adil. Produced under Motion Pictures, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Niuma Mohamed and Sheela Najeeb and Niuma Mohamed in pivotal roles. The plot combines two love triangles set years apart. The first half covers friends on a college campus, while the second tells the story of a widower's young daughter who tries to reunite her dad with his old friend. The film was an unofficial remake of Karan Johar's romantic drama film ''Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'' (1998). Yoosuf Shafeeu
Yoosuf Shafeeu also known as Eupe (20 October 1975) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director. One of the most successful filmmakers and actors in Maldivian Cinema, Shafeeu is the recipient of a number of awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards, and a Maldives Film Award; ; holding the record of collecting maximum Gaumee Film Award for Best Actor. Suneetha Ali
Suneetha Ali (born 28 May 1977) is a Maldivian choreographer, actress and producer. Early life Suneetha Ali was born on 28 May 1977 in Aa. Ukulhas. Her father, is a fisherman while her mother is a homemaker. Ali spent most of her childhood, in a melodramatic environment, dancing to the tunes of songs from Bollywood. After her failed marriage, Ali, at the age of fourteen, relocated to Male' where she got exposed to the stage shows and music performances. Ahmed Amir
Ahmed Amir (born 18 February 1972) is a Maldivian singer and music composer. Early life and career Ahmed Amir was born and raised in the "Amir family" which also includes Ibrahim Amir and Fazeela Amir. Ahmed Amir’s very first appearance in as a music artist was at the age of 11 years, in 1983. He performed as a member of the ‘Pluto Band’ as a vocalist and guitarist.
