Hissatsu Series
The is a long-running prime-time popular television Jidaigeki series about assassins in Japan. ''Hissatsu Shikakenin'' is based on Shōtarō Ikenami's novel ''Shiokinin Fujieda Baian'', but its sequels are only inspired by it. The series still continues as an annual two-hour special drama. Jidaigeki
is a genre of film, television, video game, and theatre in Japan. Literally meaning "period dramas", they are most often set during the Edo period of Japanese history, from 1603 to 1868. Some, however, are set much earlier—'' Portrait of Hell'', for example, is set during the late Heian period—and the early Meiji era is also a popular setting. ''Jidaigeki'' show the lives of the samurai, farmers, craftsmen, and merchants of their time. Kurayami Shitomenin
is a Japanese television ''jidaigeki'' or period drama that was broadcast in 1974. It is the 4th in the Hissatsu series. The drama is a sequel to Hissatsu Shiokinin. Isuzu Yamada
was a Japanese stage and screen actress whose career spanned seven decades. Biography Yamada was born in Osaka as Mitsu Yamada, the daughter of Kusudu Yamada, a shinpa actor specialising in onnagata roles, and Ritsu, a geisha. Under her mother's influence, she began learning nagauta and Japanese traditional dance from the age of six. Yamada debuted as a film actress in 1930 at age twelve, appearing in the Nikkatsu film ''Tsurugi wo koete'' opposite Denjirō Ōkōchi. She soon became one of Nikkatsu's top actresses, but it was her portrayals of strong-willed modern girls in Kenji Mizoguchi's ''Osaka Elegy'' and ''Sisters of the Gion'' in 1936 at the new Daiichi Eiga studio that earned her popularity and critical acclaim. Hissatsu Shiokiya Kagyō
is a Japanese television ''jidaigeki'' or period drama that was broadcast in 1975–1976. It is the 6th in the Hissatsu series. Kenji Misumi was hospitalized while directing episode 13 where he later died. Plot Nakamura Mondo retired from professional killer's job but a woman(Okō) suddenly visits Mondo and urges him to withdraw his retirement. He refuses once but he finally decides to come back from his retirement. Mondo coincidentally witnessed murder during his patrol. The man who committed murder was a lonely assassin, Ichimatsu. Ichimatsu is a bamboo craftsman but he is also a professional killer. Ichimatsu thought of killing Mondo because he was witnessed his murder by Mondo. One day Nakamura Mondo suddenly visits Ichimatsu to ask him to kill a man. In the final episode of Kurayami Shitomenin Itoi Mitsugu was killed so Mondo has been looking for someone.
