Hiroshi Sasagawa
is a Japanese creator of several anime and manga series. His name is romanized in some sources as ''Hiroshi Sasakawa''. Career Born in Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, he is well known as one of creators of ''Time Bokan'' series (with Ippei Kuri, Mitsuki Nakamura and Yoshitaka Amano), he has directed several animation works in the fantasy and science fiction genre, many (though not all) of them with Tatsunoko Production. Hyppo And Thomas
is an anime created by Tatsunoko Productions. Thomas is a cunning bird who sponges on Kaba, the good-natured hippopotamus. Leiji Matsumoto
is a Japanese mangaka, creator of several anime and manga series. His wife Miyako Maki is also a manga artist. Early life Matsumoto was the middle child of a family of seven brothers, and, in his early childhood, Matsumoto was given a 35mm film projector by his father, and watched American cartoons during the Pacific War. During this time, he gained an interest in science fiction novels by authors Unno Juza and H. G. Wells. At 18, he moved to Tokyo, to become a ''mangaka''. is a Japanese anime television series which first aired from February 3, 1979, to January 26, 1980, on every Saturday from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm with a total of 52 episodes.
