Rebecca "Becky" Hindley (born 11 August 1965) is an English television, stage and radio actress based in Lancaster, England. She is best known for her eight-month stint in ''Coronation Street'' as Charlotte Hoyle in 2010; her performance as the deranged bunny boiler was met with praise by the soap's producer Phil Collinson and her co-stars Jennie McAlpine and Graeme Hawley. Charlotte Hoyle was actually the third character Hindley had played in the soap, as she had made two previous guest appearances, in 2006 and 2007. Hindley's other television appearances include ''The Bill'', ''Holby City'' and ''Casualty''. John Hindley, 1st Viscount Hyndley
John Scott Hindley, 1st Viscount Hyndley, GBE (24 October 1883 – 5 January 1963), known as Sir John Hindley, 1st Baronet, between 1927 and 1931 and as The Lord Hyndley between 1931 and 1948, was a British businessman. He was the first chairman of the National Coal Board at its creation on 1 January 1947. Background Hindley was the son of the Reverend William Talbot Hindley, vicar of Meads, Sussex, and Caroline, daughter of John Scott. He was educated at Weymouth College, Weymouth. Business career Hindley was a director of the Bank of England between 1931 and 1945 and he was managing director of Powell Duffryn Ltd, collieries, between 1931 and 1946. Richard James Edward Hindley (born 25 April 1975 in Portsmouth, Hampshire) is a retired English cricketer. Hindley is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm Off-break. Hindley made his List-A debut for the Hampshire Cricket Board in the 2001 Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy against the Kent Cricket Board. Hindley went on to represent Hampshire in a single first-class match in 2003 against Glamorgan where he made a half-century on debut, scoring 68 * in Hampshire's second innings. Peter Hindley
Peter Hindley (19 May 1944 – 1 February 2021), nicknamed 'Tank', was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Nottingham Forest, Coventry City and Peterborough United. He represented England at under-23 level. Ian Storey-Moore, a fellow Forest team member, is quoted as saying "Peter Hindley was tough as old boots for us. No one messed with him'. His father, Frank Hindley, played League football for Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion either side of the Second World War. Peter Hindley finished his playing career at non-league Burton Albion who were then managed by former Forest team mate Ian Storey-Moore. Myra Hindley
The Moors murders were carried out by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley between July 1963 and October 1965, in and around Manchester, England. The victims were five children—Pauline Reade, John Kilbride, Keith Bennett, Lesley Ann Downey, and Edward Evans—aged between 10 and 17, at least four of whom were Sexual assault, sexually assaulted. The bodies of two of the victims were discovered in 1965, in graves dug on Saddleworth Moor; a third grave was discovered there in 1987, more than twenty years after Brady and Hindley's trial. Bennett's body is also thought to be buried there, but despite repeated searches it remains undiscovered. The pair were charged only for the murders of Kilbride, Downey and Evans, and received life imprisonment, life sentences under a whole life tariff.
