Hillcrest Country Club is a historically Jewish country club located on the west side of Los Angeles, California. The club Located in Los Angeles's Cheviot Hills neighborhood, Hillcrest opened in 1920 as the first country club for the city's Jewish community. In 1972, the ''Los Angeles Times'' referred to Hillcrest as "the leading Jewish country club in Southern California." The property includes tennis courts, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and an 18-hole golf course, as well as a clubhouse with dining and meeting facilities for its members and their guests. The golf course, originally designed by Willie Watson, was redesigned and renovated by renowned architect Kyle Phillips in 2019. Hillcrest Country Club is a country club in the western United States in Boise, Idaho. Located in the bench area in the southwest area of the city, it is immediately northwest of the Boise Airport. The club hosts the Boise Open professional golf tournament, a regular stop on the Korn Ferry Tour. History The site was originally the ''Idaho Country Club'', which was formed in 1925 and built the original nine holes of the golf course. The clubhouse and course were purchased in 1935 and the name was changed to ''Boise Country Club''. Established in 1940, Hillcrest opened the second nine holes in 1958, at the south end of the property. All 18 holes were developed by the noted course designer A. Vernon Macan A skilled amateur player, Macan was born in Ireland and moved to Canada in 1912, and settled in Victoria. Hillcrest Country Club, also known as Avalon Country Club, is a historic country club located in suburban Lawrence Township, Marion County, Indiana, northeast of Indianapolis, Indiana. The 18 hole golf course was designed by Bill Diddel and was built in 1924. The clubhouse was built in 1929–1930, and renovated in 2000. It is a three-story, Mission Revival style with tall arched openings, and a low tile roof with bracketed eaves.
