Highway 70 (Israel)
Highway 70 is a highway, 76 km in length, running through the Western Galilee region in the Northern District of Israel. It connects the Mount Carmel region east of Zikhron Ya'akov to the Lower Galilee, Kiryat Ata, and Shlomi near Israel's border with Lebanon. The highway runs concurrently with Highway 6 for 2.5 km between Ein Tut Interchange and Elyakim Interchange and for 4 km between Tel Qashish and Ha'Amakim Interchange, then with Highway 75 for 4 km between Ha'Amakim Interchange and Yagur Junction, then again with Highway 6 for 5 km between Givot Alonim Interchange and Somekh Interchange. Kfar Hasidim ( he, כְּפַר חֲסִידִים, ''lit.'' Village of Hasidim), also known as Kfar Hasidim Alef to distinguish it from Kfar Hasidim Bet, is a moshav in northern Israel. Located near Kiryat Ata, it falls under the jurisdiction of Zevulun Regional Council. In it had a population of . Highway 66 (Israel)
Highway 66 is a north–south highway in the Jezreel Valley in northern Israel. It extends along the eastern lowlands below the Menashe Heights and the Mount Carmel, Carmel. It is long. In the past the road continued south to Jenin, but today it ends at checkpoint. The northern section of the highway was constructed in 1929 to allow access to Tel Megiddo archaeological site for the anticipated visit of John D. Rockefeller Jr. The southern section was constructed in the 1930s, and the highway opened to general traffic between Haifa and Jenin in 1936 as a bypass road avoiding Nazareth. Tel Qashish
Tel Qashish, also spelled Tel Kashish (from the he, תל קשיש) or Tell el-Qassis in Arabic, is a tell, or archaeological mound, located in the northwestern section of the Jezreel Valley, on the north bank of the Kishon River. The ancient settlement at Tel Qashish is considered a daughter of the ancient city of Yokneam, some 2 kilometres south of Tel Qashish. Eliakim ( he, אֶלְיָקִים) is a moshav in northern Israel. Located in the Menashe Heights, it falls under the jurisdiction of Megiddo Regional Council. In it had a population of . History The village was established in 1949 as a moshav by Jewish exodus from Arab countries, Jewish refugees from Yemen on the lands of the Depopulated Palestinian locations in Israel, depopulated Palestinians, Palestinian village of Umm az-Zinat, and was named after Jehoiakim (who was originally named Eliakim), a King of Kingdom of Judah, Judah (2 Kings 23:34). Bat Shlomo
Bat Shlomo ( he, בָּת שְׁלֹמֹה, ''lit.'' Salomon's Daughter) is a moshav in northern Israel. Located on the southern slopes of Mount Carmel near Binyamina and Zikhron Ya'akov, it originally was built on 8,068 dunams of land. It falls under the jurisdiction of Hof HaCarmel Regional Council and had a population of in . History The village was established in 1889 as a daughter-settlement of Zichron Ya'akov, funded by Baron Rothschild, on land purchased from the Arab village of Umm al-Tut. It was named after Betty von Rothschild, the daughter of Salomon Mayer von Rothschild (the Baron's uncle and grandfather). According to a census conducted in 1922 by the British Mandate authorities, Bat Shlomo had a population of 66 inhabitants, consisting of 53 Jews and 13 Muslims. By 1947 it had a population of 100.
