Highsett
Highsett is a residential estate and a listed heritage site in Cambridge, England. The estate was designed by Eric Lyons (1912-1980) of Eric Lyons & Partners. It was built in three phases between 1959 and 1964. Phase I, named ''The Quadrant'', comprises 31 flats and 6 duplexes; Phase II comprises 17 houses; and Phase III comprises 31 terrace houses. Highsett won the RIBA Award 1966 (for Phase III). It became a Grade II listed building in 1998 under the name ''Highsett and front retaining wall''. Eric Alfred Lyons CBE (1912–1980) was a British designer and architect. He achieved critical recognition in his development of family and technology-embracing housing communities in England in the latter part of the 20th century. Audrey Richards
Audrey Isabel Richards, CBE, FRAI, FBA (8 July 1899 – 29 June 1984), was a pioneering British social anthropologist. She produced notable ethnographic studies. The most famous of which is ''Chisingu: A Girl's initiation ceremony among the Bemba of Zambia.'' Her work also covered diverse topics such as nutrition, family structure, migration, and ethnicity. She conducted her field work in Zambia, Uganda and Essex. Early life and education Audrey was the second of four girls born to a well-connected family in London, England. Her father, Sir Henry Erle Richards, was posted in Calcutta, India, where she spent her early childhood, and later from 1911 to 1922 was Chichele Professor of Public International Law at Oxford.
