, also known as ''Sunny'', is a fifth studio album by Japanese people, Japanese musician Ringo Sheena released on November 5, 2014 by Universal Music Japan sublabel EMI Records Japan, Virgin Records. It is a compilation studio album compiling singles released since 2009 as well as new compositions. Background and development Before the release of her fourth album ''Sanmon Gossip'' in 2009, which celebrated her 10th anniversary, Sheena released the single "Ariamaru Tomi", used for the drama ''Smile (2009 TV series), Smile''s theme song. Sheena's main musical project during this time was the band Tokyo Jihen, who after ''Sanmon Gossip'' released the albums ''Sports (Tokyo Jihen album), Sports'' (2010) and ''Dai Hakken'' (2011). 2011 saw the release of another solo single by Sheena, "Carnation (Ringo Sheena song), Carnation". Ringo Sheena
, known by her stage name , is a Japanese singer, songwriter and musician. She is also the founder and lead vocalist of the band Tokyo Jihen. She describes herself as "". She was ranked number 36 in a list of Japan's top 100 musicians compiled by HMV in 2003. Early life Sheena was born with an esophageal atresia in which the esophagus narrows as it approaches the stomach. Treatment of this involved several operations, at least one of which required her right shoulder blade to be cut open. These surgeries left Sheena with large scars on her shoulder blades, said to give the impression that an angel's wings had been removed. Initial solo career Sheena released her first official single "Kōfukuron" in May 1998, when she was 19 years old. She subsequently made singles "Kabukichō no Joō" and "Koko de Kiss Shite", the latter becoming her first hit. Color Bars (EP)
Color Bars (カラーバー) is an EP by Japanese rock band Tokyo Jihen, released on January 18, 2012, in Japan through EMI Music Japan and Virgin Music. The album was produced by the band and Japanese recording engineer Uni Inoue. The first press edition is a cardboard sleeve. Background The album's cover art is a combination of many "color bars", which is a representation of SMPTE color bars. They suggested the end of the band by it, since color bars fill the telescreen after all the TV programs for the day finish in Japan. This mini album, intended to be the band's final studio release, includes one song written by each band member, including Toshiki Hata's first composition for the band and the first time Seiji Kameda wrote lyrics for his own song. In addition, the lead vocals on "Kai Horror Dust" and "Honto no Tokoro" were provided by the songs' respective composers, while Ringo Shiina played drums on the latter track. Machiko Ono
is a Japanese actress. Career Born in a rural area of Nara Prefecture, Ono was spotted by the film director Naomi Kawase cleaning out the shoe boxes at her junior high school, and cast in the lead role in Kawase's '' Suzaku'', which earned the filmmaker the Camera d'Or at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival. Ono won the best actress award at the Singapore Film Festival for her role. , also known as Tokyo Incidents, is a Japanese rock band formed by Ringo Sheena, after leaving her solo career. The band's debut single " Gunjō Biyori" was released in September 2004, and they ended activities in February 2012. The band sold 2.3 million albums, singles, and DVDs. The band reunited and released a new single on January 1, 2020.
