HeySong Beverage Museum
The HeySong Beverage Museum () is a museum in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The museum is owned by HeySong Corporation. History The museum was originally opened in 1996 as HeySong Museum. Over the years, the museum underwent renovations and expansions. In 2005, it was officially opened and was renamed to HeySong Beverage Museum. Architecture The front entrance of the museum displays light boxes about HeySong Soda and Sarsaparilla cans designed for the 2004 Changhua Straits Flower Exposition. Zhongli District
Zhongli District () is a District (Taiwan), district in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Zhongli is spelled variously as ''Jungli'', ''Jongli'', ''Jhongli'' or ''Chungli'' on railway stations, bus stops and road signs. Historically, the city is the site of the Zhongli Incident of 1977, the most significant event of the democratization movement prior to the 1980s. Ethnically, it is considered a capital city for Hakka Taiwanese, who live in great numbers here and in surrounding areas; many elderly persons can speak Hakka Chinese, Hakka in addition to Standard Chinese, Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien. HeySong Corporation
HeySong Corporation () is a well-known beverage producer in Taiwan. It was founded in 1925 as a family business, and later on grew into a large corporation. History The first chairman of the corporation, Chang Wen-chi (張文杞), founded “Jian Hsin Corporation Limited” (進馨商會) in 1925 with six of his cousins, when Taiwan was still under the Japanese rule, by buying a Japanese beverage producer in Taiwan named "Nikoniko" (Japanese: ニコニコ; Chinese: 尼可尼可). The company at first engaged in production of soda under the brands of "Fuji" (富士牌) and ramune under the brands of "Sanshou" (三手牌). The name "Fuji" is a Japanese word and meant the quality their products were as good as the Japanese ones.
