''Hey, I'm Alive'' is a 1975 American made-for-television adventure drama film starring Edward Asner and Sally Struthers. It recounts the true story of Helen Klaben and Ralph Flores as described in Klaben's book of the same name. The director, Lawrence Schiller, photographed the rescue in 1963 for Life magazine. Rita Lakin
Rita Lakin (born January 24, 1930) is an American screenwriter, active from around 1962 to 1981. She has credits for 474 produced television scripts spanning 30 productions. She is also a novelist and author of "The Only Woman In The Room," a memoir of her life as one of the first female show runners and one of the first women in television (released October 2015, Applause publishing). In fiction, Lakin created the Gladdy Gold Mystery seven-book series (published by Bantam Books), including ''Getting Old Is Murder'', ''Getting Old Is The Best Revenge'', and ''Getting Old Can Kill You''. Lakin began writing regularly during the early 1960s for such television shows as '' The Doctors'', ''Dr. Kildare'' and '' Peyton Place''. Hagan Beggs (March 19, 1937 – September 16, 2016) was a Northern Irish-born Canadian actor. He was best known for starring as Dr. George Dunbar on the Canadian television series, ''Danger Bay'', which aired on CBC Television and The Disney Channel from 1984 to 1990. Milton Selzer (October 25, 1918 – October 21, 2006) was an American stage, film, and television actor. Early life Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Selzer and his family moved to Portsmouth, New Hampshire where he was raised. After graduating from Portsmouth High School, he attended the University of New Hampshire before serving in World War II.
