Herre, Norway
Herre is a village in Bamble municipality in Telemark, Norway. Herre lies on the western side of the Frierfjord, with road connections to Skien municipality and Rugdtvedt. As of January 1, 2018, the population is 1,356. History The Herre river was for a long time an important source of jobs for Herre. In the late 1600s, with the opening of the Bolvik ironworks, Herre was established as one of Telemark's oldest industrial societies. In the 1850s a coal mill was established by Hellestvedt. In the early twentieth century, Compagnie Française de Mines de Bamble (later known as Norwegian Bamble A/S) was established in Herre to mine the large apatite deposits. Compagnie Française de Mines de Bamble was at the time one of Norway's biggest industrial companies. In 1907 Bamble's first power station was opened at Kongens Dam. Albert William Herre
Albert William Christian Theodore Herre (September 16, 1868 – January 16, 1962) was an American ichthyologist and lichenologist. Herre was born in 1868 in Toledo, Ohio. He was an alumnus of Stanford University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in botany in 1903. Herre also received a master's degree and a Ph.D. from Stanford, both in ichthyology. He died in Santa Cruz, California in 1962. Work in the Philippines Albert W. Herre was perhaps best known for his Taxonomy (biology), taxonomic work in the Philippines, where he was the Chief of Fisheries of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Bureau of Science in Manila from 1919 to 1928. While in the Bureau of Science of the Insular Government of the Philippine Islands (which were administered by the United States at the time), Herre was responsible for discovering and describing many new species of fish. Maximilian Herre (born 22 April 1973) is a German rapper, singer-songwriter and music producer who rose to fame as a member of the group Freundeskreis. He is also A&R for the record label Nesola, a joint venture with his wife Joy Denalane, among others. Early life and career Herre was born in Stuttgart. After hearing the 1990s German hip-hop group Advanced Chemistry, he decided to create hip-hop himself in German. He started his first band, Seedless Jam, when he was 15, and his first hip-hop project, Agit Jazz, four years later with music producer Philippe A. Kayser (Don Philippe). In order to perform their music live, they formed the band Maximilian und sein Freundeskreis in 1993 with another producer, DJ Friction (Martin Welzer). In the same year, Herre also founded the hip-hop group Kolchose with other Stuttgart artists.
