LNB Pro B
The LNB Pro B, commonly known as Pro B, is the 2nd-tier level men's professional basketball league in France. It is the second division of the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB), which has organized the league since the year 1987. The regular season champion and the winner of the promotion playoffs from each Pro B season are promoted to the top-tier level LNB Pro A, replaced by the bottom two teams in Pro A. The two last placed teams are relegated to the third level, which is the NM1. History Names of the league Format All eighteen competing teams play each other twice during the regular season. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. Brendan Winters (born May 9, 1983) is an American former basketball player. He is best known for his All-American college career at Davidson College. He is also the son of former National Basketball Association (NBA) player and coach Brian Winters. Winters led Mullen High School in Denver, Colorado, to a 5A state championship in 2001. After receiving no Division I college scholarship offers, he opted to attend a year of prep school at Worcester Academy. He was recruited by coach Bob McKillop after his prep school year.
