Herman Brock Jr.
Herman Brock Jr. (born September 18, 1970) is a left-handed Dutch bluegrass, Americana and Blues musician, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. He is also author of the series 'Secrets of the guitar'. Biography Herman was born in Winterswijk, and grew up in Terneuzen in the Netherlands. He played guitar with his father Herman Brock Sr's FFFF-band as a teenager. His main instruments are vocals and guitar, but also plays banjo, mandolin, autoharp and dulcimer. Bands In 1999 Brock formed the Eurocasters band with bassplayer Lizz Sprangers. In 2003 the cd 'Straight Up!' was recorded in Palmer, Texas with contributions from a.o. Mike Morgan, Hash Brown en Holland K. Smith. Brock's last Eurocasters' album ‘Coco Loco’ was recorded in 2005 in Austin, TX. Produced by Jesse Dayton, with a.o. Erik Hokkanen and Redd Volkaert. Winterswijk (; also known as ''Winterswiek'' or ''Wenters'') is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. It has a population of and is situated in the Achterhoek, which lies in the easternmost part of the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. Mike Morgan (musician)
Michael Robert Morgan (born November 30, 1959 in Dallas, Texas) is an American Texas and electric blues musician. He has released 14 albums to date, on various record labels including Rounder, Black Top and Severn Records. The majority of his releases have featured his long standing backing band, The Crawl. Morgan has played alongside Darrell Nulisch, Lee McBee, Gary Primich, and Randy McAllister. Biography Morgan was born in Dallas, but grew up in Hillsboro, Texas. He received his first guitar at an early age, and initially concentrated on playing rock music. In 1985 he converted to blues and blues-rock, before relocating back to Dallas in 1986. There he met Darrell Nulisch, who both were founding members of The Crawl. The group was named for a Lonnie Brooks song. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Redd Volkaert (born 1958) originally from Canada, is widely regarded as one of the greatest guitar players in the modern era and is "among the country’s top Telecaster guitar slingers." particularly in the genres of Western Swing and Honky Tonk. He has been the go-to picker for Merle Haggard and has a history playing with the likes of Johnny Paycheck and George Jones. Redd can often be found on stage in the company of his fellow Telecaster stalwart Bill Kirchen formerly of Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen.
