''Here to Stay'' is the debut album by Greg Sczebel. The album won the Juno Award for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2005. ''Here to Stay'' also won two Shai Awards in 2005, for Contemporary/Pop Album of the Year, and Urban/Soul Album of the Year. In addition the album won the Outstanding Christian Recording award at the 2005 Western Canadian Music Awards. The Shai 2005 Song of the Year award went to "In the Pocket". The song "Here to Stay" was also the 2004 Grand Prize Winner, Gospel Category in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, while "You've Got It" was 2005 Finalist, Session I, in the R&B Category. Greg Sczebel
Greg Sczebel (born September 6, 1984), known as SEBELL, is a two-time Juno Award-winning independent singer-songwriter originally from Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. He is a two-time grand prize winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, a winner in the Billboard Worldwide Song Competition and was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. In 2006 Sczebel was a special guest performer on CMT's "Paul Brandt's Christmas in Banff." In 2008 Sczebel joined Brandt's touring band and has performed with him regularly, playing keyboards and singing backing vocals. Sczebel has performed with Brandt at the 2008 Canada Day Celebrations on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, on numerous televised Canadian award shows (CCMA's, Junos), and most recently for Prince William and Kate Middleton during their visit to Canada. Contemporary Christian Music
Contemporary Christian music, also known as CCM, Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. Cross Rhythms is a Christian media organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent, England. It operates an FM and online radio station, produces radio shows sent internationally, and its website has resources about contemporary Christian music. History 1983–2002 In 1983, Chris Cole started a 30-minute weekly Christian music radio show on Plymouth Sound FM, an Independent Local Radio station in Plymouth. Originally titled ''The Solid Rock of Jesus Christ'', the programme aired on Sunday evenings.
