Herchen Station
Herchen station is a through station in the town of Windeck in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station was opened in 1860 on a section of the Sieg Railway, opened by the Cologne-Minden Railway Company (german: Cöln-Mindener Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, ''CME'') between Eitorf and Wissen on 1 August 1861. It has two platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. The Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (''Rhine-Sieg Transport Association''; VRS) is the public transport association covering the area of the Cologne/Bonn Region, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Köln-Ehrenfeld Station
Köln-Ehrenfeld is a railway station situated at Ehrenfeld, Cologne in western Germany on the Cologne–Aachen railway. It was opened with the first part of the line in 1839. It is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn and regional services. Not far from the station is the Venloer Straße/Gürtel underground station of the Cologne Stadtbahn. Station Köln-Ehrenfeld station has two platforms with four platform tracks, to the north of which there are two tracks without a platform for through passenger and freight trains. Tracks 1 and 2 are used for S-Bahn traffic, tracks 3 and 4 for regional traffic. Cologne-Ehrenfeld is a scheduled stop for all regional services passing through it. Düren station is located to the north of the centre of Düren and is the largest station in the city and the district of Düren. It is located at the intersection of the Cologne–Aachen high-speed line with the lines to Linnich, Heimbach and Euskirchen. Until 1992 it was also connected to the Erft Railway. Horrem Station
Horrem station is a station in the Kerpen district of Horrem in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is a railway junction of the Cologne–Aachen high-speed railway and the Erft Railway (Horrem–Bedburg, connecting with Neuss). S12 (Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn)
Line S12 is a S-Bahn line of the S-Bahn Köln network in Germany. It is operated by DB Regio using class 423 electric multiple units. The S12 runs from Horrem via Cologne to Au (Sieg). It shares this route for most of its run with the S 19. With over , it is the second longest S-Bahn line in North Rhine-Westphalia, after S9. The S12 operates every 20 minutes on workdays between Köln Ehrenfeld and Hennef (Sieg), with every third train continuing to Au (Sieg). The S19 also operates hourly between Au (Sieg) and Hennef, so there is a 30 minute clock. Windeck
Windeck is a municipality in the Rhein-Sieg district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated on the river Sieg, approx. 35 km east of Bonn and 35 km west of Siegen. The Rhein-Sieg-Express is a Regional-Express service in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate running from Aachen via Düren, Cologne, Troisdorf, Siegburg and Betzdorf to Siegen. It is operated by DB Regio NRW. History Regional Express (RE) line 9 has existed since the introduction of the integrated timetable (german: integralen Taktfahrplan, ITF) in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1998. Previously one train ran each day over the line to Mönchengladbach from Gießen to Kaldenkirchen.
