Henwick
Henwick is a suburb of Worcester, England. It is located to the west of the River Severn and to the north of St. John's. Henwick is often affected by flooding of the Severn particularly along parts of the Hylton Road which runs next to the river. The offices of the Worcester Journal and Worcester News newspapers, and the BBC Hereford and Worcester studios are all located next to the Hylton Road in Henwick. Worcester ( ) is a cathedral city in Worcestershire, England, of which it is the county town. It is south-west of Birmingham, north-west of London, north of Gloucester and north-east of Hereford. St John's, Worcester
St John's is a suburb of Worcester, England, lying west of the city centre and the River Severn. St. John's is referred to locally as the "Village in the City", which is partly due to being an independent township, before joining the city in 1837. There is still a sense of identity within the community. The Ward of St. John constitutes one of the fifteen wards of the city. See map of Wards within Worcester City Council. Worcestershire
Worcestershire ( , ; written abbreviation: Worcs) is a county in the West Midlands of England. The area that is now Worcestershire was absorbed into the unified Kingdom of England in 927, at which time it was constituted as a county (see History of Worcestershire). Over the centuries the county borders have been modified, but it was not until 1844 that substantial changes were made. Worcestershire was abolished as part of local government reforms in 1974, with its northern area becoming part of the West Midlands and the rest part of the county of Hereford and Worcester. BBC Hereford & Worcester is the BBC's local radio station serving the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. It broadcasts on FM, DAB, digital TV and online via BBC Sounds from studios on Hylton Road in Worcester. According to RAJAR, the station has a weekly audience of 91,000 listeners and a 6.5% share as of September 2022.
