Henry White Beeson
Henry White Beeson (September 14, 1791 – October 28, 1863) was an American politician who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1841 to 1843, representing the 20th congressional district of Pennsylvania as a Democrat in the 27th United States Congress. Early life and education Beeson was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on September 14, 1791, to Jacob Beeson and Lydia Ann White. He attended public schools and engaged in agricultural pursuits. Career Beeson served as a colonel in the Fayette County Militia. Beeson served in the United States House of Representatives from 1841 to 1843, representing the 20th congressional district of Pennsylvania as a Democrat in the 27th United States Congress. He was elected to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of incumbent Enos Hook. Beeson was an unsuccessful candidate for re-election in 1842 to the 28th United States Congress. An ancestor, also known as a forefather, fore-elder or a forebear, is a parent or (recursively) the parent of an antecedent (i.e., a grandparent, great-grandparent, great-great-grandparent and so forth). Find a Grave is a website that allows the public to search and add to an online database of cemetery records. It is owned by Ancestry.com. Its stated mission is "to help people from all over the world work together to find, record and present final disposition information as a virtual cemetery experience." Volunteers can create memorials, upload photos of grave markers or deceased persons, transcribe photos of headstones, and more. , the site claimed more than 210 million memorials. The name comes from the website's inclusion of burial locations of the deceased (when known). It is also a pun; where bodies are buried can refer to the politicians accused of crimes or touched by scandal. History The site was created in 1996 by Lawrence Kestenbaum, then an academic specialist at Michigan State University, and later on staff at the University of Michigan.
