Henrik Windstedt
Per Henrik Peter Windstedt (born 8 September 1983) is a Swedish big mountain skier who has excelled at many aspects of skiing. He was one of Sweden's top moguls competitors as a junior, and has made big air and superpipe podiums. He won the 2008 Freeride World Tour. Career Born and raised in the ski resort of Åre, Sweden, Windstedt started skiing regularly at an early age, coached by his father Peter, a high-level ski instructor. Windstedt made the National Mogul Team in 1999. He won the Junior World Mogul Championships in 2002 and competed in alpine ski racing for 11 seasons. He won the 2005 Men's Moguls FIS event at Winter Park, USA and it would be in freestyle and freeskiing he would make his biggest impact. At age 16, he won King of the Hill in Riksgränsen, Sweden. Freestyle Skiing
Freestyle skiing is a skiing discipline comprising aerials, moguls, cross, half-pipe, slopestyle and big air as part of the Winter Olympics. It can consist of a skier performing aerial flips and spins and can include skiers sliding rails and boxes on their skis. Known as "hot-dogging" in the early 1970s, it is also commonly referred to as freeskiing, jibbing, as well as many other names, around the world. Vail is a home rule municipality in Eagle County, Colorado, United States. The population of the town was 4,835 in 2020. International Ski Federation
The ''Fédération internationale de ski et de snowboard'' (FIS; en, International Ski and Snowboard Federation) is the highest international governing body for skiing and snowboarding. Founded on 2 February 1924 in Chamonix, France during the inaugural Winter Olympic Games, the FIS is responsible for the Olympic disciplines of Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding. Jon Anders Olsson Delér (born 17 August 1982) is a professional freeskiing, freeskier and alpine skiing, alpine ski racer from Sweden. Born in Mora Municipality, Sweden, Mora, Olsson Delér started his career as a ski racer but at age 16 he switched his race skis for twin tips and quit ski racing. Eight years later, after a 50 000 SEK (US$5826.22) bet with fellow skier Jens Byggmark, Olsson Delér started ski racing again with the goal of the bets being to make it to the Olympics in 2014. He now competes in both freestyle and ski racing. Slopestyle
Slopestyle is a winter sport in which athletes ski or snowboard down a course including a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps and other terrain park features. Points are scored for amplitude, originality and quality of tricks. The discipline has its roots in action sports like skateboarding and BMX and has very successfully crossed over into the snow sports worlds of skiing and snowboarding. Skiers use Twin-tip skis for their symmetry since they often go large portions of the course backward (referred to as "switch") and for their balanced weight so as to not destabilize spins. Freeride World Tour
The Freeride World Tour (FWT) is an annually toured series of events in which the best freeskiers and snowboard freeriders compete for individual event wins, as well as the overall title of World Champion in their respective genders and disciplines. The events take place on what's commonly referred to as "backcountry", "big mountain" or "extreme" terrain – essentially ungroomed powder snow on dangerously steep, mountainous slopes. Thomas James "TJ" Schiller (born October 17, 1986) is a Canadian freestyle skier. Schiller combines amplitude with style and is best known for his signature switch 1080 mute grab. During Winter X Games XIV, Schiller became the first person to land a double cork 1620 (four and a half rotations with two flips).
