Hendrik Krawen
Hendrik Krawen (born 1963 in Lübeck, Germany) is a contemporary visual artist and installation artist. Life and work From 1978 to 1981 Hendrik Krawen learned painting in the studio of the painter and graphic artist Rainer Erhard Teubert and 1980, architectural representation at a commercial artist in Lübeck. From 1982 to 1984 and from 1985 to 1990 he studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in the class of Alfonso Huppi. In 1990 he was one of the initiators of the project "EX WM" and between 1992 and 1994 of the project space WP8 (Artists Association) in Düsseldorf. He worked as a visiting professor 2007/2008 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg. Hendrik Krawen lives and works in Berlin. Kunstakademie Düsseldorf
The Kunstakademie Düsseldorf is the academy of fine arts of the state of North Rhine Westphalia at the city of Düsseldorf, Germany. La Maison Rouge
La Maison Rouge was a private contemporary art Foundation dedicated mainly to showing private art collections, monographic shows of contemporary artists' work. It was located close to the Bastille, in Paris, at 10 Boulevard de la Bastille in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. La Maison Rouge has been definitely closed in October 2018. History Created in 2004 by Contemporary Art Collector Antoine de Galbert, La maison rouge occupied an old factory building. The 2000-square-meter space was renovated by architect Jean-Yves Clément and the artist Jean-Michel Alberola. The Foundation offices were located at the center the building in what used to be an old red farmhouse (hence its name). La maison rouge had an adjacent bookstore run by Bookstorming and a branch of ''Rose Bakery'', an organic English style cafe, that renewed its entire decoration with each exhibition. Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam (SMBA) is a project space for contemporary art in Amsterdam, Netherlands. SMBA was founded in 1993 and is part of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. It is the uccessor of Museum Fodor, a platform for young Amsterdam artists that ceased to exist in 1992. The goals of SMBA are to stimulate and signal contemporary art in Amsterdam and to create an international stage for this. SMBA organizes eight to ten solo and group exhibitions annually. The current head of Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam is Jelle Bouwhuis. Activities SMBA is situated at Rozenstraat 59 in Amsterdam. Frankfurter Kunstverein
The Frankfurt Art Association (german: link=no, Frankfurter Kunstverein) is an art museum founded in 1829 by a group of influential citizens of the city of Frankfurt, Germany. The aim of the institution is to support the arts in the city, which was an important center of trade and business. Works of art were bought and exhibitions organized in order to open access to art and culture for the public. Among the founders were Johann Gerhard Christian Thomas, a senator and later mayor of the city, historian Johann Friedrich Böhmer, and art historian Johann David Passavant. Kunsthalle Düsseldorf is an exhibition hall for contemporary art in Düsseldorf. Building The present art centre was built in 1967 in Brutalist architecture by the architects Konrad Beckmann and Brockes. They used commercially available precast concrete for the construction work. Schirn Kunsthalle
The Schirn Kunsthalle is a Kunsthalle in Frankfurt, Germany, located in the old city between the Römer and the Frankfurt Cathedral. The Schirn exhibits both modern and contemporary art.
