Hendrick Vaal Neto
Pedro Hendrick Vaal Neto (born 1944) is an Angolan former diplomat. A member of the National Liberation Front of Angola until the 1990s. Until September 12, 2011, Neto was the Angolan ambassador to Egypt. Studying in Caconda, Ambriz, Huambo, Benguela and Luanda, he participated in various political seminars in Switzerland, Zambia and the United States before dedicating his life to the liberation of Angola in 1959, living in the woods to escape persecution. Over thirteen years, he travelled to more than eighty countries around the world. In 1963 he was persecuted by the PIDE and joined the National Liberation Front of Angola in the north of Angola and moved to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he attended the Institut National D'Etudes Politiques. Until July 21, 1981, he lived in Lisbon. He was made Minister of Social Communication on June 1, 1999 with a presidential decree. Kwanza Sul
Cuanza Sul Province ("South Cuanza"; Umbundu: Kwanza Kombuelo Volupale) is a province of Angola. It has an area of and a population of 1,881,873. Sumbe is the capital of the province. Don founded the province in 1769 as Novo Redondo. History The province was badly affected during the Angolan Civil War (1975–2002). A large number of civilians were killed in the clashes between National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) and Angolan Armed Forces (FAA). Coffee plantations and fields were destroyed. Frequent attacks forced people to leave their municipalities. UNITA had opened its central front in the province. Around 116,000 displaced people were living in camps. The majority of them were from the rural areas and the densely populated plateau regions. On 17 December 2000, the UNITA combatants killed 31 FAA soldiers and looted vehicles, arms and about 20,000 litres of diesel in Quibala.
