Helmer Mikkelsen
Helmer Mikkelsen (26 September 1930 – 19 June 1989) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Børselv, and was the mayor of Porsanger from 1967 to 1975. He was a member of Finnmark county council from 1975 to 1987. During the last term, he served as county mayor. From May 1986 to April 1987, he was ill, and Oddny Aleksandersen took over as acting county mayor. Børselv (, ) is a village in Porsanger Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It is located at the base of the Sværholt Peninsula, along the east side of the Porsangerfjorden, at the outlet of the river Børselva. Porsanger ( se, Porsáŋgu; fkv, Porsanki) is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Troms og Finnmark Counties of Norway, county, Norway. ''Ságat'' is a Sámi newspaper written in Norwegian that is published in Leavdnja, Finnmark, Norway. History and profile ''Ságat'' was founded in Vadsø in 1957 and moved to Leavdnja in 1981, where it still is based today. It maintains offices and reporters in Deatnu, Kárášjohka, Evenášši, Máttá-Várjjat, and Áltá, Norway. The editor since 1978 has been Geir Wulff. Finnmark
Finnmark (; se, Finnmárku ; fkv, Finmarku; fi, Ruija ; russian: Финнмарк) was a county in the northern part of Norway, and it is scheduled to become a county again in 2024. On 1 January 2020, Finnmark was merged with the neighbouring county of Troms to form the new Troms og Finnmark county. Oddny Aleksandersen
Oddny Ballo Aleksandersen (born 5 February 1942), is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. Born in Vadsø, she chaired the local party chapter in Vadsø from 1979 to 1982 and was a member of the executive committee of Vadsø municipal council from 1979 to 1983. Elected to the county council in 1983, she served as deputy county mayor for one term, and acting county mayor from May 1986 to April 1987, during the illness of county mayor Helmer Mikkelsen. On the national level, she served briefly as personal secretary (today known as political advisor) in the Ministry of Justice and the Police in 1981. She was later Minister of Government Administration and Labour from September 1992 to October 1993, in the third cabinet Brundtland. Finnmark County Municipality
Finnmark County Municipality ( no, Finnmark fylkeskommune, sme, Finnmárkku fylkkagielda) was the regional governing administration for the old Finnmark county in Norway. It was dissolved on 31 December 2019 when Finnmark county was merged into Troms og Finnmark county starting on 1 January 2020. The administration was located in the town of Vadsø and was led by a county council. The last mayor of the county was Runar Sjåstad from 2007 until 2019. Since 1975, the county council of Finnmark was a democratically elected body with a wide range of responsibilities for the whole county. Erling Fløtten
Erling Fløtten (20 November 1937 – 28 October 2010) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He served as county mayor (''fylkesordfører'') in Finnmark between 1987 and 1995. After that, he was regional director of NHO's Finnmark division until his retirement in 2007. As county mayor, Fløtten signed the first agreement of cooperation between Finnmark and the Murmansk Oblast in 1988. In 2009, Fløtten resigned his membership from the Labour Party after he was removed from the board of the Finnmark Estate (FeFo).
