''Hellboy: Weird Tales'' is a Dark Horse Comics bimonthly eight-issue comic book Limited series (comics), limited series that offered a variety of guest writers and artists the chance to give their own take on the ''Hellboy'' characters created by Mike Mignola whilst he was in Prague working on the first ''Hellboy (2004 film), Hellboy'' movie. The issues were published bi-monthly to alternate with a series of B.P.R.D.: The Soul of Venice and Other Stories, ''B.P.R.D.'' one-shots and were collected in two trade paperback volumes. Dark Horse Comics is an American comic book, graphic novel, and manga publisher founded in Milwaukie, Oregon by Mike Richardson in 1986. The company was created using funds earned from Richardson's chain of Portland, Oregon comic book shops known as Pegasus Books and founded in 1980. Dark Horse Comics has emerged as the fourth largest comic publishing company in the United States of America.
