''HellBent'' is a 2005 novel by Anthony McGowan. It tells the story of Connor O'Neil and his dog, who are killed by an ice cream van and sent to hell. It was received very well, despite being called "Down-right disgusting just for the sake of it". Plot summary Sixteen-year-old Connor is on his way home from school when he is run down by an ice-cream truck. He is sent to hell with his dog, Scrote, who choked on an ice cream cone which rolled off the truck. There he is sentenced to spending all eternity reading intellectual books and listening to classical music with his personal devil tormentor, Clarence, and a transvestite Viking, Olaf. Eventually he meets a beautiful naked angel called Francessa who tells him that one person's hell could be his heaven. ''Hell Bent'' is a 1918 American Western film directed by John Ford and featuring Harry Carey. A print of the film exists in the Czechoslovak Film Archive. Plot As described in a film magazine, Bess Thurston (Gerber), whose no-account brother Jack (Pegg) is unable to support her, obtains employment in a dance hall. This shatters the illusions of Cheyenne Harry (Carey), who has fallen in love with her. When he rescues her from the advances of Beau Ross (Harris), Cheyenne's confidence in her is restored. Her brother then aids Beau in an attempted robbery and Harry allows them to escape. Beau takes Bess with him into the desert. Harry follows and a duel ensues in which they are both wounded. Bess rides the only horse left out of the desert, while Beau and Harry struggle along on foot. A sandstorm results in the death of Beau, but Harry lives to find happiness with Bess. ''Hellbent'' played the gay and lesbian film festival circuit throughout 2004 and 2005 before a limited theatrical release on September 16, 2005. The motion picture helped spark a wave of "gay slasher" films. Plot The night before Halloween, a gay couple are making out in a car when a bare-chested killer in a devil mask appears and decapitates them with a sickle. Halloween finds Eddie at his job as a police technician talking with his police officer sister. He distributes flyers about the murders and dresses in his father's police uniform for a Halloween costume. While distributing the flyers, he meets Jake in a tattoo shop. "Hell Bent" is the twelfth and final episode of the ninth series of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. It was first broadcast on BBC One on 5 December 2015. In the episode, the alien time traveller the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi) arrives on the planet Gallifrey after escaping imprisonment by his people, the Time Lords, and takes over as the new President. He tries in vain to use knowledge of "the Hybrid", which is prophesied by the Time Lords to stand in Gallifrey's ruins and unravel the Web of Time, to save the life of his companion Clara (Jenna Coleman). Doing so causes the Doctor and Clara themselves to become the Hybrid. This episode is Coleman’s final regular appearance as a companion. H3llb3nt were an electro-industrial supergroup formed in 1995. The original line-up band consisted of Bryan Barton (of haloblack), Charles Levi (of Pigface), Jared Louche (of Chemlab), Jordan Nogood and Eric Powell (of 16Volt). They released three full length albums: '' 0.01'' (1996), ''Helium'' (1998), ''Hardcore Vanilla'' (2001) History H3llb3nt was formed in San Francisco by Bryan Barton, Charles Levi, Jared Louche, Jordan Nogood and Eric Powell. The idea came about when Powell and Barton were touring with their bands, 16Volt and haloblack respectively, and decided on collaborating on an electronic music project that and had less emphasis on guitars. Their debut studio album, titled '' 0.01'', was released by Fifth Colvmn Records on February 20, 1996. ''Sonic Boom'' called ''0.01'' an "exquisitely tuned finite element state machine which hums along with a groove all of its own" and only criticized the album for being too short. The band is composed of Randy Rogers (lead vocals), Geoffrey Hill (guitar), Jon Richardson (bass guitar), Brady Black (fiddle), Les Lawless (drums), and Todd Stewart (guitar, fiddle, mandolin, keyboards).
