Helen Eileen Langton is a British academic, a nurse and the current vice chancellor of the University of Suffolk. Career Langton held numerous position within the Universities in United Kingdom such associate Dean at both Coventry University and University of Derby. She was previously deputy Vice Chancellor of University of South Wales. The University of South Wales ( cy, Prifysgol De Cymru) is a public university in Wales, with campuses in Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd. It was formed on 11 April 2013 from the merger of the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport. The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the regulator for nursing and midwifery professions in the UK. The NMC maintains a register of all nurses, midwives and specialist community public health nurses and nursing associates eligible to practise within the UK. It sets and reviews standards for their education, training, conduct and performance. The NMC also investigates allegations of impaired fitness to practise (i.e. where these standards are not met).
