Helen Briem
Helen Briem (born 12 August 2005) is a German amateur golfer. She has won the 2021 European Young Masters, the 2022 European Nations Cup – Copa Sotogrande and was medalist at the 2022 Espirito Santo Trophy, the Women's World Amateur Team Championships. Career Briem is from Nürtingen near Stuttgart and represents Stuttgarter Golf-Club Solitude. She is a member of the German National Team and in 2021 she won the European Young Masters in Finland both individually and with the team. Also in 2021, she won the national stroke-play and match-play titles in Germany, and was selected by captain Annika Sörenstam for the European team at the Junior Solheim Cup. In 2022, she won the European Nations Cup – Copa Sotogrande and the Italian International Ladies Amateur Championship, and made her Augusta National Women's Amateur debut. Charlotte Liautier (born 26 May 1999) is a French professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. In 2022, she was runner-up at the Aramco Team Series – Bangkok team event. Early life and amateur career Liautier was born in Saint-Clotilde, Réunion and grew up in Paris. She began playing golf at the age of 12 and plays at Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche. Liautier enjoyed a prolific amateur career and competed in the European Girls' Team Championship and European Ladies' Team Championship for France. 2023 European Ladies' Team Championship
The 2023 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 11–15 July at Tawast Golf & Country Club in Hämeenlinna, Finland. It was the 40th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Team Spain won the championship. Venue The hosting course is situated in Hämeenlinna (Tawastehus in Swedish) in southern Finland about 100 kilometers north of capital city Helsinki. The course, surrounded by woodland and a lake, was designed by architect Reijo Hillberg. Course layout Format Each team consisted of six players. On the first two days each player played 18 holes of stroke play each day. The lowest five scores from each team's six players counted to the team total each day. European Ladies' Team Championship
The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. The total addition of the five lowest scores will constitute the team's score and determine the teams qualified for the last three rounds of matchplay. Only teams in contention for a medal will play a match format of two foursomes and five singles, while the other teams will play a one foursome and four singles match format. 2023 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 2023 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 25–28 October at Abu Dhabi Golf Club in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It was the 30th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. Format The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event. Each team of three players played four rounds. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Venue Abu Dhabi Golf Club had previously hosted the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship on the European Tour 2006 to 2021. The European Girls' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women up to 18 organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1991. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1991 to 1999 and has been played annually since 1999. Junior Vagliano Trophy
The Junior Vagliano Trophy is an annual girls amateur golf tournament. It is co-organised by The R&A and the European Golf Association and is contested by teams representing "Great Britain and Ireland" and the "Continent of Europe". The first event was in 2011. Originally it was played in odd-numbered years at the same time and location as the Vagliano Trophy but in 2021 it became an annual event. Girls must be under-16 on 1 January of the year of the event. The Continent of Europe has won all seven matches to date. Sára Kousková (born 2 July 1999) is a Czech professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. In 2021 she won the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge to become the first Czech amateur to win a professional event. In October 2022 she continued creating Czech golf history with first ever Czech female win of the LET Access Series Order of Merit. Early life and amateur career Kousková was born in Prague and began playing golf when she was five years old. At six, she won her first tournament at a pitch and putt course.
