Heike Friedrich
Heike Friedrich (born 18 April 1970 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, Saxony) is a former freestyle swimmer from East Germany, who won two medals at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. At the age of 15, Friedrich won five gold medals in the 1985 European championships and won four more in the World Championship the next year. She had not lost in a single major international championship in any event until she was defeated by Janet Evans in the 400 m in the Seoul Olympics, taking the silver medal. Friedrich had already won the gold medal in the 200 m freestyle on the previous day. Heike E. Riel (born 1971) is a nanotechnologist known for developing OLED displays. She works for IBM Research – Zurich, where she is Director of IoT Technology and AI Solutions, and Director of the Physical Sciences Department. Brigitte Heike Meissner (german: Meißner, born 29 January 1970 in Dresden) is a retired German athlete. She competed mainly in the 400 metres hurdles, but also spent two seasons specializing in the 800 metres. Notable achievements include a silver medal at the 2002 European Championships, medals in 4 x 400 metres relay at the 1994 European Championships and the 1997 World Indoor Championships and a fourth place at the 1995 World Championships. Heike Wedekind née Lätzsch (born 19 December 1973 in Braunschweig, Lower Saxony) is a former field hockey striker from Germany, who won the gold medal with the Women's National Team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. Heike Kemmer (born 24 April 1962 in East Berlin, East Germany) is a German equestrian who competes in the sport of dressage.
