David L. Lindsey is an American novelist, working primarily in the mystery and crime fiction genres. He has published fourteen novels in a writing career spanning 29 years. Biography Lindsey was born in Kingsville, Texas, in 1944. He spent his childhood in the Texas Rio Grande Valley and in West Texas, near San Angelo. Lindsey graduated from North Texas State University with a degree in English literature. Lindsey moved to Austin, Texas, in 1970 and has lived there ever since. During the 1970s, Lindsey worked as a book editor at a number of small publishing houses in Austin. At one point he operated his own publishing firm, Heidelberg Publishers. During his years in publishing, Lindsey had an interest in writing, but felt it would be fiscally "irresponsible". Finally, in 1980 his wife urged him to "go for it". Kingsville, Texas
Kingsville is a city in the southern region of the U.S. state of Texas and the county seat of Kleberg County. Located on the U.S. Route 77 corridor between Corpus Christi and Harlingen, Kingsville is the principal city of the Kingsville Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is part of the larger Corpus Christi-Kingsville Combined Statistical Area. The population was 26,213 at the 2010 census, and in 2019 the U.S. Census Bureau estimated the population at 25,315. Named in honor of Richard King, the city was founded to provide infrastructure for the adjacent King Ranch, as well as serve as the headquarters of the newly founded St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway. Thorne Webb Dreyer (born August 1, 1945) is an American writer, editor, publisher, and political activist who played a major role in the 1960s-1970s counterculture, New Left, and underground press movements. Dreyer now lives in Austin, Texas, where he edits the progressive internet news magazine, '' The Rag Blog'', hosts Rag Radio on KOOP 91.7-FM, and is a director of the New Journalism Project.
