Heavy Object
is a Japanese light novel series, written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Ryō Nagi. ASCII Media Works published the series in twenty volumes from 2009 to 2021 under their Dengeki Bunko label. It has received three manga adaptations. A 24-episode anime television series adaptation produced by J.C.Staff (with 3DCG provided by Sanzigen) aired from October 2015 to March 2016. Plot In the future, the development of massive war machines with spherical main bodies called Objects, due to their firepower and, most important of all, their integrity, have rendered all manner of conventional warfare, and even tactical nuclear weapons seemingly obsolete. Kazuma Kamachi
is the pen name of a Japanese author who has published over 100 light novel volumes. He is best known for the creation of the ''A Certain Magical Index'' franchise which, as of 2019, has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and has been licensed in North America by Yen Press with the first novel being released in Q4 2014. Career Kazuma Kamachi has stated that ever since he was a child, he had always wanted to become a novelist, spending his student days in trying to achieve this dream. However, his intention was never to become a popular writer.
