Heaven Is Gone
''Heaven Is Gone'' is the first studio album by American heavy metal band Seventh Void. It sold around 1,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release, peaking at number 21 on the '' Billboard'' Top Heatseekers chart. A music video was released for "Heaven Is Gone". Later, band friend Slitzy created a music video for "Last Walk in the Light" featuring live footage of the band. When the album was re-released through Napalm Records in 2010 it received a new cover artwork. Seventh Void
Seventh Void was an American doom metal band composed of vocalist/guitarist Kenny Hickey and drummer Johnny Kelly (both formerly of Type O Negative), guitarist Matt Brown (formerly of Uranium 235 and A Pale Horse Named Death), as well as bassist Hank Hell (Inhuman). History Originally conceived in 2003 by Kenny and Johnny, the band's personnel was not solidified until 2005 and songwriting began in earnest. The band's name is lifted from a line in ''Dante's Inferno''. The band's debut album, '' Heaven Is Gone'', was released in April 2009 in North America on Vinnie Paul's record label Big Vin Records, and in November 2010 in Europe and the UK on Napalm Records. Doom metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that typically uses slower tempos, low-tuned guitars and a much "thicker" or "heavier" sound than other heavy metal genres.K. Stoner rock
Stoner rock, also known as stoner metal or stoner doom, is a rock music fusion genre that combines elements of doom metal with psychedelic rock and acid rock. The genre emerged during the early 1990s and was pioneered foremost by Kyuss and Sleep. Characteristics Stoner rock is typically slow-to-mid tempo and features a heavily distorted, groove-laden bass-heavy sound, melodic vocals, and "retro" production. Due to the similarities between stoner and sludge metal, there is often a crossover between the two genres. This hybrid has traits of both styles, but generally lacks stoner metal's laid back atmosphere and its usage of psychedelia. Big Vin Records was an American record label based in Arlington, Texas. The company was formed in February 2006 by former Pantera, Damageplan and Hellyeah drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott and had a distribution deal with Fontana Records, which in turn is owned by Universal Music Group. Abbott started the label a year after the on-stage murder of his brother, Dimebag Darrell, on December 8, 2004. Vincent Paul Abbott (March 11, 1964 – June 22, 2018) was an American musician best known for being the drummer and co-founder of the heavy metal band Pantera. He also co-founded Damageplan in 2003 with his younger brother, 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott, and was a member of Hellyeah for 12 years from 2006 until his death in 2018. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Napalm Records is an Austrian independent record label focused on heavy metal and hard rock. Kenny Hickey
Kenneth Shaun Hickey (born May 22, 1966) is an American heavy metal musician. He was the co-founder, guitarist and backing and occasional co-lead vocalist of the gothic metal band Type O Negative. He is currently the vocalist and guitarist for heavy metal band Silvertomb and was the co-founder of Seventh Void. All three bands also feature fellow Type O Negative member Johnny Kelly on drums. Hickey is also an occasional touring guitarist for Danzig. Early career Hickey was born in New York City in 1966. As a youngster he listened to his father's records of Johnny Cash and was diverted into rock and roll after Elton John's album ''Goodbye Yellow Brick Road''. He was asked to join Type O Negative after former Carnivore guitarist Marc Piovanetti declined. Hickey was a childhood friend of the band, growing up in the same neighborhood as the band members.
