''Heartsease'' is a 1919 American silent drama film directed by Harry Beaumont and starring Tom Moore, Helene Chadwick, and Larry Steers Lawrence Wells Steers (February 14, 1888 – February 15, 1951) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 550 films between 1917 and 1951. He was born in Indiana, and died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. Harry Beaumont
Harry Beaumont (10 February 1888 – 22 December 1966) was an American film director, actor, and screenwriter. He worked for a variety of production companies including 20th Century Fox, Fox, Goldwyn Pictures Corporation, Goldwyn, Metro Pictures Corporation, Metro, Warner Brothers, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Career Beaumont's greatest successes were during the silent film era, when he directed films including John Barrymore's ''Beau Brummel (1924 film), Beau Brummel'' (1924) and the silent youth movie ''Our Dancing Daughters'' (1928), featuring Joan Crawford. He then directed MGM's first talkie musical, ''The Broadway Melody'' (1929). The latter film won the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Picture Academy Award that year, and Beaumont was nominated for Academy Award for Best Director, Best Director. Mary Warren (born Marie Elizabeth Wierman; November 6, 1893 – August 4, 1956), was an American silent film actress. Early life Marie Elizabeth Wierman was born on November 6, 1893 in Philadelphia, the daughter of Mary E. Wierman (1871–1940). Career In 1912, still using the name Marie Wierman, she was a member of the Lubin Stock Company, and worked on films in Maine. Rosemary Theby
Rosemary Theresa Theby (born Rose Masing, April 8, 1892 – November 10, 1973) was an American film actress. She appeared in some 250 films between 1911 and 1940. Early life and career The daughter of George and Katherine Masing, Theby was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She studied at the Convent of St. Alphonsus in St. Louis and at Sargent's School in New York City. A contemporary newspaper account described her as being of "medium-height, well proportioned, with regular features and dark hair". Theby began working with Vitagraph studios in 1910. Her first film experience came in that company's production of ''The Wager''. By 1915, she was a star for the Universal film company. During World War I Theby took care of a refugee from Lithuania. After being educated and cared for by Theby, the young woman became her maid during an acute shortage of maids in Hollywood, in 1920.
