Heart Attack (Krokus Album)
''Heart Attack'' is the tenth studio album by the Swiss hard rock band Krokus, and is described by the band as "the last attempt to keep the band together in a deep crisis". As well as being the band's first album on MCA Records, it saw the return of original Krokus founding member Chris von Rohr. ''Heart Attack'' is the only Krokus album to feature drummer Dani Crivelli who played drums on von Rohr's 1987 solo album, ''Hammer & Tongue'', and previously recorded and toured with Solothurn rivals Killer. In the early 1980s, Crivelli was a member of Detroit, a hard rock band that featured Krokus guitarist Fernando von Arb's then wife, Birthe von Arb, on lead vocals. The track "Rock 'n' Roll Tonight" was a live hit and is still played by the band in concerts. Krokus (band)
Krokus is a hard rock/ heavy metal band from Switzerland. They enjoyed success in North America during the 1980s. Krokus was founded in Solothurn in 1975 by Chris von Rohr (vocals and multi-instruments) and Tommy Kiefer (guitar), both former members of Kaktus. Former TEA vocalist Marc Storace joined the band as frontman in time for their ''Metal Rendez-vous'' album in 1980. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. Richard Evans (born 30 March 1945, Wilmslow, Cheshire, England) is a graphic designer, art director and illustrator. He studied fashion and textile design at Nottingham School of Art and graphic design and illustration at Leicester College of Art. On leaving art school in 1968, he began what was to be a brief career as a fashion illustrator, mainly for teen magazines Petticoat and Honey, published by Fleetway Publications. In 1971 he formed fashion footwear company Daisy Roots Shoes with a showroom in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge, London and a retail outlet in Harrods Way In boutique, designing and producing high fashion footwear for the hip rock generation featuring stacked heel and platform shoes and boots in brightly coloured leathers and exotic reptile skin. Stephen Marcussen is the founder and chief mastering engineer at Marcussen Mastering in Hollywood, California, United States. He has been mastering music since 1979. Biography Marcussen's introduction to music recording happened in 1976 when, at the age of 19, he was offered a janitor position at Studio 55, record producer Richard Perry's Los Angeles recording studio. At Studio 55, Marcussen received an education in all facets of music recording and sound production. By the end of his Studio 55 tenure, he had earned his first album credits as an assistant engineer, working on The Manhattan Transfer's ''Pastiche'', Boz Scaggs's ''Middle Man'', and The Pointer Sisters's ''Special Things''. Michael Wagener
Michael Wagener (born 25 April 1949) is a German former music producer, mixer, and engineer from Hamburg, best known for his work with many top glam metal and heavy metal bands in the late 1980s. He is particularly renowned for his multi-amping and re-amping techniques. Wagener's works have sold over 90 million albums worldwide. History and career Wagener was the original guitarist for the German band Accept. When he turned 18, he was drafted into the German army and was stationed 350 miles away from home. This made it difficult for him to practice with the rest of the band and hence he quit the band. After completing his military service, Wagener began working as an audio engineer in Hamburg in 1972. Through a friendship with singer Don Dokken, Wagener moved to Los Angeles. Marc Storace (''Sto-rah-che'') (born 7 October 1951) is a Maltese born rock vocalist. His career in music started in the 1960s. He is most noted for his position as frontman, lead singer and songwriter of Swiss hard rock band Krokus from 1980. Before joining ''Krokus'' he sang with the Swiss Prog Rockers ''TEA''. He has since also undertaken a solo project, duets, an acoustical project, and many guest slots. He also had some close encounters with the classical meets rock world and has worked with a few other rock acts as writer and a singer. Killer (Swiss Band)
Killer is a Swiss heavy metal group founded in 1979 by guitarist Edgar "Crown" Kocher after a 3-year stint with the band Kaktus. Kocher's trademark is wearing striped prison garb on stage. Between 1981 and 1986, Killer released 4 studio albums but always remained in the shadows of their more successful Solothurn contemporaries Krokus. After the release of their 1986 album, ''Young Blood'', the band disbanded. Kocher re-activated the group for the first time in 2002 and has continued with Killer off and on ever since despite health problems and frequent line-up changes.
