He Chong
He Chong (; born June 10, 1987 in Zhanjiang, Guangdong) is a Chinese diving (sport), diver. He is the Diving at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Olympic Champion in the 3m springboard. He split with partner Wang Feng (diver), Wang Feng after they won a gold medal in the 3m synchronised springboard event at the 2005 World Championships. The two staged a reunion and won gold at the same event in the 2006 Diving World Cup in Changshu, China. At the 2008 Olympics He Chong defeated an elite field of divers including, the two time world champion Alexandre Despatie, the 2006 world cup champion Qin Kai (diver), Qin Kai, and eight time Olympic medalist Dmitri Sautin. 2007 World Aquatics Championships
The 2007 World Aquatics Championships, or the XII FINA World Championships, were held in Melbourne, Australia from 17 March to 1 April 2007. The competition took place at three locations in central Melbourne: the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (diving and water polo), St Kilda Beach (open water), and Rod Laver Arena in a temporary pool christened the Susie O'Neill Pool (synchro and swimming). A total of 2,158 athletes from 167 nations participated in the 2007 championships. The total number of spectators was more than 215,000, setting a new record attendance for the event. Qin Kai (; born January 31, 1986) is a Chinese athlete who competes in diving. He competed for Team China at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Career At the 2001 World Junior Championships, he won the gold on the 3m Springboard and the silver medal on the Platform. Alexandre Despatie (; born June 8, 1985) is a Canadian diver and broadcaster from Laval, Quebec. He was the world champion at the 1 and 3 m springboards from 2005 to 2007 and is the first, and so far only, diver to have been world champion in all three individual categories (1, 3 and 10 m platform). He is also a 37-time Canadian senior diving champion and nine-time junior champion, and the most decorated male diver in Canadian history, winning two Olympic silver medals and reaching eight podiums at the world championships, including three gold medals.
