Hazelwood is a neighborhood in the Northeast and Southeast sections of Portland, Oregon. Prior being annexed by Portland, the community was enumerated as a "Census-designated place". The community recorded a population of 25,541 in 1980, 11,480 in 1990, 19,916 in 2000, and 23,462 in 2010. Mall 205 was an enclosed shopping mall located at the junction of Interstate 205 and S.E. Washington Street in Portland, Oregon's Hazelwood neighborhood, in the United States. The mall features over 20 stores and a food court; anchor stores include The Home Depot, Oregon DMV, Target, Arch Fitters and 24 Hour Fitness. The mall's two-story Target store is the largest Target in the state of Oregon. Mall 205 was acquired and renovated in 2001 by CenterCal properties. Sayler's Old Country Kitchen
Sayler's Old Country Kitchen is a steakhouse in Portland, Oregon's Hazelwood, Portland, Oregon, Hazelwood neighborhood, in the United States. Description and history Established in 1946, the restaurant has hosted a 72-ounce steak challenge since 1948. The challenge lets people eat for free "if they can consume every edible part of the steak plus two celery sticks, two carrot sticks, two olives, two dill pickles, one regular salad, ten french fries or one baked potato and one slice of bread within an hour". 640 people had successfully completed the challenge, as of December 2016. Sayler's has also served chicken fried steak. The restaurant once had a rotating sign showing a steak, which has been replaced by a stationary sign. Neighborhoods In Portland, Oregon
Portland, Oregon is divided into six sections: North Portland, Northeast Portland, Northwest Portland, South Portland, Southeast Portland, and Southwest Portland. There are 95 officially recognized neighborhoods, each of which is represented by a volunteer-based neighborhood association. No neighborhood associations overlap the Willamette River, but a few overlap the addressing sextants. For example, most addresses in the South Portland Neighborhood Association are South, but a portion of the neighborhood is west of SW View Point Terrace where addresses have a SW prefix.
