Hazara Australians or Australian Hazaras ( prs, هزارههای استرالیا) are Australians who have Hazara ancestry. The Hazaras are an ethnic group native to, and primarily residing in, the mountainous region of Hazarajat in central Afghanistan. Many Hazara Australians have also migrated from Pakistan. The Hazara Council of Australia is an organization formed by the Hazara community of Australia. Hazaras constitute one of the largest ethnic groups of asylum seekers in Australia According to the 2016 Australian census, 21.9% of Afghan-born Australians recorded their ancestry as Hazara and 33.9% listed Hazaragi as their main language, making Hazaras the second largest group in both categories. Stanhope Gardens
Stanhope Gardens is a suburb of Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Stanhope Gardens is located 31 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of City of Blacktown. History John Hillas (1768–1837) arrived in Australia in 1801 and received two land grants (in 1801 and 1804) on the Windsor Road. The second of these, of 150 acres, he named "Stanhope Farm". He established an inn, the Stanhope Arms on Windsor Road, to cater for the traffic between the Macquarie Towns and Parramatta. By 1856 the Pearce family owned Stanhope Farm. In 1928 Jack Peel bought Stanhope Farm and called it Stanhope Park Dairy. In 1973 the New South Wales Housing Commission compulsorily resumed Stanhope Park Dairy. It is approximately 35 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Blacktown and is a part of Greater Western Sydney. Blacktown is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Blacktown is located west of the Sydney central business district. Kellyville, New South Wales
Kellyville is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 36 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of The Hills Shire. It is part of the Hills District region. History Kellyville is believed to be named after Hugh Kelly, who owned land comprising the Kellyville Estate. Kelly owned a hotel on the corner of Wrights and Windsor Roads called the ''Bird-In-Hand''. Cherrybrook, New South Wales
Cherrybrook is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 27 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of Hornsby Shire. Cherrybrook is often referred to as being located in the Hills District of Sydney. History European settlement Joseph Harrison, who had married Mary Ann Thompson, settled on a block in the area in 1839, planted orchards and built a small timber cottage they called "Cherrybrook Cottage". The name "Cherrybrook" is believed to have come from the fact they grew cherry trees near the creek, which passed through their land.
